I actually find it quite amusing that the anti-Romneyites continue to post on pro-Romney threads before, and more rabidly than the Romney supporters.”

That is because Romney is widely seen on FR as Rudy II.

Most of the conservatives here don’t only see him as being not their first choice, they see him as a weak chameleon that needs to be kept out of the White House.

One of the good points for Mitt with the Constitutional Amendment is that it will take a decade, if not more and he will be gone. So, he get’s credit with the bait for the boobs now, without having to tip toe out with any real, bold, kick the hive over ideas.

Good old Mitt, getting ready to fight, in a decade and a half in the future.

That is not leadership, that is political campaign management.

Can you provide documented proof of that or is this just slander?

He's working/lying for the most liberal Governor in the history of the republic, ain't he?

Funny, I heard Romney’s own words that he would protect a woman’s right to “choose” to kill her unborn child. Is that “bashing”?

Hey, I’ve known Precious Willard for 13 years, going back to his first Senate run. ...
So, it's a personal vendetta then.

No, I don’t think that your post (#28) is bashing.

This is a good point from the end of this article -

—snip—

Are GOP voters looking for a “fantasy” candidate?

Bopp says that there “is an obsession with a fantasy candidate” which is promoted by “mainstream media to denigrate conservative candidates.” Bopp says that the media has “idealized Ronald Reagan and measure all candidates by him. Ronald Reagan could not meet the idealized version of Ronald Reagan. He signed the most liberalized abortion law in the country, he raised taxes.” Bopp contends that my holding up an impossible model of conservative virtue, media pundits then “use that to undermine current conservative candidates.” The media then, Bopp says, encourages voters to “fantasize about current, non-candidates” like Newt Gingrich and Fred Thompson who when they enter the race don’t measure up either.

What will the GOP nominee need to do to beat Hillary or another Democrat?

Bopp jokes that if he knew that he’d “be a billionaire” but says that it will depend on the “competency, communication skills and hard work of our nominee. We will have to get through the media filter.”

~”Your kind has already admitted the existence of an anti-Mitt rapid response team.”~

Really? That’s very interesting. The team’s very good, I must say.

The only reason Democrats took the governorship in 2006 is because they realized that they were tricked into voting for a conservative Republican when they elected Romney. They didn’t want to take a chance that another Republican masquerading as the liberal Weld or Cellucci could turn out to be conservative like Romney.

I have a patient who worked for Cellucci’s administration. He’s a self-proclaimed liberal Democrat. He liked Romney when he first took office, and hated him by the time Mitt left office. He feels that Romney tricked him by posing as a social liberal, and then governed as a fiscal and social conservative.

If Romney is responsible for destroying the Republican party in Massachusetts, then that’s a good thing...because the Republican party in Massachusetts was made up of nothing more than RINO’s. Or at least until Romney became governor.

Please ignore the Mitt-a-phobes. There is nothing they can do to stop him. No one will be able to match the $50 million dollar January 1st carpetbombing.

I must admit though that I enjoy seeing them throw jabs. It is like a child having a tantrum. Totally pointless and they aren’t going to get their way.

But one thing, I find great comfort in is that Mitt will be the most conservative President in a generation and yet in the media he will be seen not been owned by the social conservatives. That my friend is a great place to be in politically. LOL.

I watched that when I researched Mitt Romney eight months ago.

Read this:

Recently, I was attacked by one of my opponents because when I ran for Governor I promised to maintain the status quo with regards to laws relating to abortion in Massachusetts. Of course, I kept that promise. But in Massachusetts, that meant vetoing pro-choice legislation – as I consistently did as Governor.

It’s called “knowing the man.” I know Romney, I know his record. You guys are describing somebody that doesn’t exist. Kind of like the political party that Romney nailed the coffin lid shut on in MA. RIP, MA GOP, 1855-2007. We hardly knew ye, but we knew Romney.

We’re gonna drive a stake through that RINO vampire’s dark black heart. Ya dig ? Sho ‘nuff.

"The media then, Bopp says, encourages voters to “fantasize about current, non-candidates” like Newt Gingrich and Fred Thompson who when they enter the race don’t measure up either."

Hmm, the media hasn't been causing primary voters to "fantasize" about Fred, as they've been doing their best to ignore him and outright lie about him and how well he's performing... kind of like the Mittwitts.

The truth is highly subjective. Define what you mean by truth.
