Giuliani pulled no punches on the radio
Msnbc ^ | Oct 5, 2007 | Michael Powell

So what should a mayor do? Just let constituents call his weekly radio program on WABC — the one called “Live From City Hall ... With Rudy Giuliani” — and whine and complain and get in his face without answering back? Puh-leeze. When Joe from Manhattan called in 1998 to complain about the city government giving special parking privileges to a white-shoe law firm, Mayor Giuliani emitted an audible groan into the microphone. “Well, let me give you another view of that rather than the sort of Marxist class concept that you’re introducing,” Mr. Giuliani said. When a National Rifle Association member opposed a ban on assault rifles in 1994, Mr. Giuliani really got annoyed. “Now the reason why the N.R.A. has lost all credibility is statements like that,” he said. “By definition these are attack weapons. They are used for offense. It really is absolutely astounding that the N.R.A. continues to have influence in areas in which they make no sense at all.”

NRA members should have called Giuliani out with this past statement.

::::::
True. And the whole statement from RG, shows his ignorance of the shooting industry, shooters, collectors, etc., while exposing his “emotional liberalism” relative to lawful gun ownership and usage.

I mentioned this on another thread, and it’s relevant here-

If any of us meet Rudy on his handshaking tours, invite him to a CMP match (and hand him a black rifle).

In fact, it would be amusing to do that for ALL the candidates. Hmmm, why doesn’t NRA sponsor a Candidate’s Match with AR’s at 200 yards? What a photo-op for all these second amendment supporters and lifelong hunters!

"By definition these are attack weapons. They are used for offense."

And while they're at it, the NRA ought to put this silly statement in the context of Giuliani's typical, blathering campaign statement about how important it is "to thtay on the offenth againtht terrorithts."

“NRA members should have called Giuliani out with this past statement.”

I HAVE. Others have - again and again and again.

It NOT just the Second Amendment issue.

Rudy Giuliani, while mugging his jaw Mussolini Style as the “Republican” mayor of New York City supported TWO outstanding liberal anti-Second Amendment Governor contenders in New York and New Jersey - Mario Cuomo and Jim FLorio ( of the FIRST “assault rifle ban”).

He is pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, marched in Gay Pride Parades, dressed in drag for a public event, made New York City a Sanctuary City and campaigned cross country with his buddy Bill Clinton to support Clinton’s “anti-crime” bill.

This guy thinks he’s worthy to be a Republican Candidate?

Hardly.

Oh, but he promises that he'll change his stripes!

He really means it when he says he'll appoint conservative judges next time....

‘”By definition these are attack weapons. They are used for offense.””

The best defense is to go on the offense.

But But But....9/11 changed Rudy’s views about the RKBA. And he now has so much more in common with the NRA than the NRA which “has lost all credibility”.

This guy is a dyed in the wool gun grabber who believes the 2nd Amendment is about duck hunting (if you catch him on a good day). He can’t go away quickly enough. Thankfully with the socons and 2nd Amen. crowd against him he will, but it’ll be a few months down the road.

“In 1994, Mr. Giuliani applauded President Bill Clinton for banning assault rifles and urged Congress to enact physical and written tests and stringent background checks for prospective handgun owners. He also saluted the Clinton health care plan as “doing some pretty good things” and boasted that New York offered “universal health care,” not least for illegal immigrants.”

The next time some party hack breathlessly poses their favorite trick or treat greeting: “But do you want Hillary?!”
remind him/her that there’s really no substantive difference between the two on the the issues.

This comes from the NY slimes which has printed an opposition research report as a new story, simple as that. Please look past who the target is and see the truth here. This is the ratmedia providing a massive contribution to Hillary Clinton. She didn’t have to pay for a word. I do op search. Believe me this was NOT an easy report to put together. Someone had to listen to four years of weekly shows of about two hours. This report would have cost 30 to 40 K if obtained legitimately.
