No offense meant to Kathryn Jean Lopez, but the title implies that the rats were previously facing the truth. That is, they had to have faced the truth in order to turn their backs to it. When did the rats ever care about truth, honesty, integrity, etc.?

Aren't you mistaking facing the truth with telling the truth?

I don’t think she meant it that way, but I interpret it to mean the Dems lie continually.

The Democrats feel totally comfortable outright lying & manipulating facts by pulling select words like "Phony Soldier" from Rush's statement on Jesse MacBeth.

This comfort level is reinforced daily with the help of Liberal Big Media friends and attack dogs like Move-on.org and Media Matters.

As long as they stay off Fox News and don't talk to anyone from the Washington Times they are among friends.

I pray that the American people are smarter than I give them credit for. Sometimes on FR we focus so much on what the stupid Americans do, that we forget we still have a large portion that still have common sense. As recent elections have shown, the balance is all too close for comfort.

I doubt that anyone who isn't tuned into some kind of conservative TV, radio show or website has a clue what the truth in this matter is. I have family members who get their news solely from the local newspaper (a liberal rag) and the ABC Nightly News. Often, the read/hear a report that is unjustly anti-conservative and they believe it. I try to set them straight, but often the response is, "If it's in the newspaper and on TV, it must be true." They claim I get my information from propoganda on conservative websites.

This "phony soldier" thing hasn't really made it to the MSM in a big way which surprises me.

A Democrat[i.e.] communist would not know the truth if it walked up to them and bit them on the leg.

Neither they nor 98% of the American public care anything about the truth.

All 98% of the American public cares about is how much can the Government steal from the other guy to give to me.

They are the minority, have been the minority for a long time. They only win when we put in our own rotten apple. It doesn’t matter what they say or think. We drive the agenda

>I do not understand why these people feel they have to lie about almost everything.
"Its psychology 101."

Yea, it is.
But this despicable --albeit typical-- behavior's also a *big* part of the communists and their manifesto, too. "The ends *justify* the means."

Anyone who believes the Democrat Party is anything less than communist has another think coming and for anyone one the wall? Just watch what they do.

The Democrat Party and the communists controlling it reveal themselves in a hundred different ways by their own deeds.

...in spite of anything they [ever] say.

Rush was using taxpayer funded armed forces radio to trash soldiers”

And the Democrats use PBS and, NPR to further their propaganda.
“Taxpayer funded”: I might add. :-t

Very astute post.

Liberals are extremely insecure.

As you pointed out, they need constant reinforcement - so much so that their Presidential candidates cannot even go on FOX News to debate issues. They need warm fuzzy stroking from synchophants to put concrete in their fictitious walls.

The problem is - truth keeps knocking on their walls, and they don't like it one bit.

My greatest fear comes directly from observations of things like "Jay Walking" on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show," and even from conversations with my own family members... For example, a conversation last night went like this... Me: "Have you heard about what's going on with Rush Limbaugh?" My Aunt: "Rush Limbaugh is such a jerk!" "In what way?" "I don't know." "Well, what did he say that makes him a jerk?" "I don't know, I've never listened to him, but he's a jerk!" "How do you know that he's a jerk?" "Because of the things he says!" "What things has he said that makes him a jerk?" "How do I know?" "Then why do you think he's a jerk if you've never heard anything he's said?" "I don't know... He just is."

She's also declared that she's voting for Hillary, because she's a woman. I asked her if it would be right for someone to say that they'd never vote for Hillary becuause she's a woman? She said "that would be wrong." So I asked her what the difference was between voting for someone because she's a woman, vs voting against someone because she's a woman? She doesn't care: She's voting for a woman. That's all the reason she wants or needs. Even when I roll through some of Hillary's positions, and she's appalled by her stands, she finishes with, "I don't believe any of it. I'm voting for Hillary."

This is an example of someone who hasn't missed a vote since she turned 21 (back then, that was the minimum voting age... She's 84 now.)

Although they have always been able to get away with a lot since the press doesn’t really ever go after them

After getting away with trying to sabotage a presidential campain in 2004 and convicting Scooter Libby for a non-crime he didn't commit... the DBM has once again shown themselves to be more valuable to the DNC than any 527.

I'm gotta get me one of those new "Phony Patriots" bumper sticker to piss off the local liberals.

The truth hurts!

It really is frightening to read "Atlas Shrugged" at this time. I kid you not: Things we hear and read in the press could be coming directly from Rand's "Looters" and "Moochers." It's almost as if Ayn Rand wrote most of the leftists' talking points! I just hope and pray that things don't get as bad in real life as they do in the book!

The bearded Rat on Fox and Friends this morning looked like a deer in the headlights but trotted out the new line.....Rush was using taxpayer funded armed forces radio to trash soldiers.

Once again, I was screaming at the TV...my poor neighbors must think I'm nuts.

Frm The Article: “Is the truth necessary only when it suits your political agenda? No. Anyone who has ever attended kindergarten knows that truth — and being honest — are required in all aspects of life...”

You bet, we are supposed to learn about telling the truth in Kindergarten...if not before from our parents! This article is one of the best I have read lately! Great one to send to everyone on my mailing list, which is what I just did. I have begun to send great articles to all on my mailing list to help get the truth out. If I hear back from anyone (usually a DEM friend) not to send things any more, I do stop......for a while. Then I try again. If I hear back asking not to again, I stop for a longer time. It’s like trying to get a child to eat a certain vegetable. You wait a while and ask them to try it again, explaining that our tastes do change.:) Lets all try to get the DEMS on our mailing lists to change their tastes about political parties! :)

Don’t be upset. Just wait a while and try again in a kind way to point out the truth. Once your aunt sees Hillary in a debate with the Republican candidate (hopefully Fred or Duncan) she will most likely change her mind about voting for Hillary! :)

There is something else going on here besides an attempt to get revenge for the Gen. Betrayus ad: The Democrats are about to give Bush a huge increase in military spending (defense spending bill to go to $648 billion) and $150 billion for the wars in Iraq and Aphganistan. So they are using the Rush incident to try distracting their anti-war wing (the Ladies-in-Pink, ANSWER, and the Out-of-Iraq caucus) from that fact. I don’t think its going to work as these organizations are already bitter about the last time that the Dems funded the war.

Mark, judging by what I see and hear at this point in time, not only are things going to be as bad as they are in the book, they will be worse.

For me personally, I saw things happen during the clinton regime that I did not believe would ever happen in the United States.

The peopl;e who did and caused these things to happen did not go away. They only laid low.

Soon these same individuals will be back with a vengence.
