Is the truth necessary only when it suits your political agenda?
No. Anyone who has ever attended kindergarten knows that truth -- and being honest -- are required in all aspects of life, especially in political forums.
But Senate Democrats, in condemning talk-radio king Rush Limbaugh, have proven yet again that they should have flunked out of preschool.
Limbaugh had an on-air conversation with a caller about "phony soldiers" -- people who pretend to be U.S. soldiers either to get at money allocated for vets or simply to get attention in order to amplify their views; in other words, actual frauds.
People who don't actually listen to Limbaugh (I do -- where else does one go for sanity in New York City?), like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and former NATO commander Wesley Clark

No offense meant to Kathryn Jean Lopez, but the title implies that the rats were previously facing the truth. That is, they had to have faced the truth in order to turn their backs to it. When did the rats ever care about truth, honesty, integrity, etc.?
Silly me. Once I heard the facts, I have to admit to being shocked at how blatantly the dems lied about this situation.
I know, I know, I shouldn't be shocked but...I guess hope springs eternal that they will find the unpopped kernel of decency in their dark souls...

You know me. I served 21 years in the military.
I have been through 3 wars.
I am disgusted by these Senate Democrats.
They are not Americans.
I do not understand why these people feel they have to lie about almost everything.
They lie in order validate their ego and station in life.
They have no moral training. Just think about it for a second. Killing innocent children in the womb is one of their big causes to defend, so lying is no big deal. A typical Cristian views abortion as murder. These people wouldn't know the 10 commandments if it hit then in the head.
The Democrats/Marxists have been doing this for sixty years. What is interesting about recent smear campaigns is that they are so obvious. Both Limbaugh and Savage are being attacked on the basis of clearly phony accusations. Perhaps that does not matter. I am curious as to why the Marxists are so brazen. I am also curious now about other recent smear campaigns that were successful for the leftists. Maybe many of us did not realize that they were smear campaigns because we ourselves are too apathetic.
Maybe the Democrats are at the tail end of this tactic, kind of like crying “Wolf” too many times. We will know if it backfires on them. I would hope so, but the sheeple may be too apathetic to care or to take action. But then again the Marxists will just refine their techniques to carry out their slander.
They can’t competently pull off a smear campaign.
They obviously can’t comprehend the spoken word.
They can’t discriminate their own propaganda from the truth.
But they want to nationalize another 6th of our economy, have their finger on the nuclear button and control of the most powerful military the world has seen.
I pray that the American people are smarter than I give them credit for. Sometimes on FR we focus so much on what the stupid Americans do, that we forget we still have a large portion that still have common sense. As recent elections have shown, the balance is all too close for comfort.

The Democrats are such hypocrites. They lie and distort all day long, they undercut our troops, and then they jump at an opportunity to smear Rush, saying he doesn’t respect those in the service.
To the Democrats: Pull the beam out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to be able to remove the spec from someone else’s eye.
They may not be brazen so much as desperate. Although they have always been able to get away with a lot since the press doesn’t really ever go after them

That's kind of like saying flies land on manure. They do it every day and it's just natural for them.

They are brazen because they think they have reached the tipping point to realize their goals. They may be exactly right.
A dumble congress, a dumble president puts them in the position to do real damage to America.
The “people” in many cases don’t see it or go along. They now have a brazen media rooting for them and actively supporting them and actively seeking to destroy any opposition.
And it sways many people, despite the “aw shucks, us? [there’s no bias]”. Its called propaganda and it works.
Oh that's just rich. And the Democrats are as pure as the wind driven snow and they would never use tax payer funds to trash their opponents. (Good catch Bert!)
