My gut feel is Thompson vs Romney, and Thompson wins.

What did Romney say about Rush? I hadn’t heard.

It was a potentially fatal flub.

Between this, his somewhat shaky Conservative credentials and the fact he is using his own allowance to fund his campaign now.

Well....

Interesting. The poll has someone that has stated he is not running (Gingrich) but yet doesn't have the candidate that raised 5 times more than Nanny Huckabee, more than McCain, and fourth in fund raising this quarter. A candidate that had over 1500 people show up at a rally in Nashville this very evening. Nashville, isn't that in the Actor's home state? Hmmm.....

I'd also note 17% of those 'polled' (being quite slanted as it is) didn't pick any of the candidates. Course it being slanted in the 'right' fashion makes it a poll Republicans can use to validate the argument doesn't it....

Willardian Profiles in
*ahem*
Courage:

In a statement to the Huffington Post,
Romney’s spokesman Kevin Madden
offered the following on Limbaugh:

“Governor Romney would disagree with the negative characterization of those men and women who serve with honor and distinction in the United States Military. There may be disagreements with individual opinions, but no one would ever dispute the fact that those members of the military who disagree with the war have earned the right to express that opinion.”

L.Ron is insane. The poll doesn't mention fools who poll less than the margin of error.

Soros wasted his money on this one (the Austin Nutbag, Captain of the Federation Wastescow Blind Mad Moonbat).

Right now, Rudy and Mitt are too busy ripping each other to worry about Fred:

The drive by media are afraid of Fred. They know he is the only Republican who can beat Hillary. Don’t believe what you hear in the media, Fred will win. Remember, most American’s are not even paying attention yet. Let him do a couple of debates and I think Fred will bury Rudy in the polls. The media is pushing Rudy on us because they think we have forgotten what happened in the NY Senate race, Hillary was creaming Rudy. I know he dropped out due to his “health” but the fact is he was going to lose. The media remembers this and are betting on it.

They just lampooned Fred on Saturday Night Live. It was kind of funny. The excellent Darrell Hammond played him. Says “since I announced my candidacy my numbers have been dropping like a rock.” They wish!

LOL, according to the PDF linked his name wasn't in the question. But do please keep up hope the Republican mainstream has the message the general public wants to hear (even though they don't) . Ping all your friends and have a one liner contest eh? Maybe get a few jpegs in too. You have so much real substance to add...You'll also see that 'none' of those listed has grown to 9%.

It was a very nice rally, great job by the Paul campaign.

If Rudy wins, I will vote 3rd party in ‘08. I would LOVE to see the Rs nominate someone like Tancredo or Hunter but would still be ok with a Thompson. I just pray we end up with a strong economic conservative in ‘08 and I hope Bush continues his new found economic conservatism for the remainder of his term.
