"You would think the dad would make more money from the John Denver tribute concerts alone."

AND

If Dad spent a few hours on taking care of his family and less on facial hair grooming (Yuk, BTW) maybe they could solve their problems.

"So add Kathy Bush and this family to the list of fraudsters."

Here ya go...The list now covers Clinton, Gore and Kerry! With a pattern like this, the dems look pretty stupid parading out another phony health insurance poster child.

In 1994, Hillary Clinton used Kathy Bush when citing her case as an example of the high cost of medical care.

Later, investigators found her mother guilty of intentionally making her daughter sick and forcing her to undergo more than 40 needless surgeries, in what prosecutors called a case of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.

OMG this is incredible. This story has to get wider play. I couldn’t get to the original article. Are you sure this is the correct link?

icwhatudo, you done good. LOL

Not only have you blown up their latest scam to pull on America’s heartstrings because a couple of rich kdidn’t buy health insurance for theyir kid, but the fall out of entertainment from the libs is going to be a joy to see.

BTW, has Patrick Ruffini remarked on this story yet? After all, he claimed FreeRepublic had marginalized itself in influence. How then, can ONE FREEPER, manage to take a stake to the heart of the Democrat’s latest fraud so easily? How come this one One Freeper could expose this lie, whereas the GOP could only manage defense? Huh. kind of like one Freeper drove the nail into rather’s career, another such instance of influence the party hack conveniently chose to ignore.

I like this little gem from a DUmmy no one asked about.

19. Did Mr Frost not have car insurance either? Helping the sub-human freeperscum smack a 12-year-old-kid around is not the point of this post, obviously.

The fact that the kids were injured in a car crash jumped out at me. A big hunk of what you pay for car insurance is to cover the medical expenses regardless of who's at fault in the crash. So I wondered why S-CHIP would be paying for anything related to a motor vehicle accident...shouldn't the car insurance be paying the medical bills?

Clearly we don't have all the facts, so anything and everything is speculation, but that one thing struck me as a little strange.

Dear TexasCajun,

I know that on my own insurance in Maryland, the amount of insurance for medical expenses is relatively small. I don’t have minimum coverage, either, but a significant multiple of minimum coverage.

Even if these folks were responsibly insured for their cars, their auto insurance wouldn’t have paid for more than a small part of their medical bills.

It’s by Michelle Malkin, so you could Google Jennifer Bush Michelle Malking and get it from there too!

Could be - there are more people in California than in Canada.

One of the AP stories states the kid was riding a bike and hit by a motor vehicle. So... there might some recovery from the other motorist’s insurance IF the other motorist was at fault.

I haven’t seen much discussion about the claim that ‘I wouldn’t be here without SCHIP’. Since federal law would have mandated ER treatment even if there was no insurance, I find that claim a bit suspect, too. It is true that the followup care wouldn’t have been covered, though these days hospitals write-off charity cases at a fairly high rate for those who are legitimately impoverished. Probably a more accurate statement would have been, “without SCHIP, my parents would have had to pay for my care”.

Well, to be honest, I did think of including Edwards channeling the unborn child during a trial.

A couple things come to mind on the real estate assets of these people. If the commercial property was bought in 1999 for only $160,000, it is quite likely they have more than $100,000 in equity in the building.

If they pay $1200 a month on their mortgage, that means at 6% and a thirty year mortgage, that the mortgage amount is 200,000. It sounds like they should have around $100,000 in equity in the house built up, and $200,000 in total equity and if they don’t they are fools.

I was told Southern California- 12 million or so, you can drive across it in a few hours, as opposed to Canada at 25-30 million, takes 2 days to drive across.

Even then, CA and CN are close in population, give or take 20%.

“If a person receives a scholarship does that person have to pay the IRS a tax”

I don’t think so, I think a “gift” can be 60K with no tax, and scholarships may be in a different catagory. I’ve never paid a tax, I mean, Ive never heard of anyone paying a tax on scholarship money. College scholarship, anyhow.

Interesting question.
