Gov. Crist lauded by African-Americans, called 'first black governor'

"He pledged he was going to be a governor for all the people and so far, from everything I've seen, that's what he's been doing," said state Sen. Tony Hill, D-Jacksonville, who is black.

Seven years ago, Hill and another black Democratic legislator, Kendrick Meek, of Miami, who now is a U.S. representative, staged a sit-in to get an audience with former Republican Gov. Jeb Bush, who had refused to meet with them before ending affirmative action in state hiring and university admissions. But Hill met with Crist on back-to-back days this month to talk about anti-gang programs, appointments, health care and a possible humanitarian trip to Haiti.

I have no problem with meeting with African American leaders, etc. But, restoring the right to vote for felons and the payment of Five million to the thug, reveals that Crist is a RINO of the worst kind. This guy needs to be attacked early and often and defeated when he runs again. He clearly is in the wrong party.

Bill Clinton was the closest thing we ever got to having a black man as President.

Number 1 - He played the sax.

Number 2 - He smoked weed.

and Number 3 - He screwed ugly white women.

Even now...look at him...his wife works and he don't...and he gets a check from the government every month.

Crist was one of those working the hardest to exterminate poor Terri Schiavo.

Wow, for people who claim they want the world to be COLOR BLIND, these African-American "leaders" sure do seem to look at the world through race-based glasses!

Referring to Bubba’s picture, I don’t believe Crist wears a wedding ring. Hmmmmm!

***Kind of an ‘us vs. them’ mentality that hurts the politics of the black communities?***

I know of many African-Americans who are pro-life, pro-border security, and pro-school vouchers. Yet they vote for the Rodents. Why? They still cling to the perception that America society is unfair to them. As a result, they have “Us v Them” mentality. “Blacks got to stick together or else racists will walk over us.”

Before I decide not to like this guy, I need to know more about his other positions. Remember, Reagan raised taxes, was pro-choice, and anti-gun while Gov of CA.

Don’t worry about Crist. The Dems are going to take him down hard when it suits their purpose. He has bigger problems lurking out there than anything on this thread.

This is exactly correct, and that is why blacks will continue supporting all Democrats for the rest of the 21st Century and beyond.
