Majorities of young people in America describe modern-day Christianity as judgmental, hypocritical and anti-gay. What's more, many Christians don't even want to call themselves "Christian" because of the baggage that accompanies the label.

I think the “stupid damn kids of today” are a direct result of the stupid damn parenting that started immediatedly after the so called peace love and rock and roll decade of the 60’s.”

Couldn’t agree more.

Yesterday was transgender day at RHAM High School in Hebron Ct. You were supposed to dress as the opposite sex and get in touch with your real feelings. Hows THAT for modern day education!”

MY KID would have not been in school. I would heve held them him/her out.

The God of Israel [He is God only] has spoken in Leviticus18:5-30; Let the libs and homosexual advocates take this up with Him and His Christ who will judge all men in the ressurection of the dead.

5  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
6  None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
7  The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8  The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
9  The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10  The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
11  The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.
13  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.
14  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
15  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.
17  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
18  Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
19  ¶Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20  Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
21  And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
23  Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
24  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
27  (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28  That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
29  For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30  Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.

There are none so judgmental as leftists.

People need to stop caring what leftists think of them.

And get your kids out of government schools and away from the TV. That’s where they’re learning this garbage.

Are these “youths” the same ones we hear about setting fire to the suburbs of Paris? Wouldn’t be surprised.

I in none of my post(s) on this issue told anyone how to behave.

So you are saying that judging isn't wrong? Then what the heck were you complaining about them judging for?

Oh we finally get to the crux of the issue.

You can call my original statement judging if you want. I however, do not tell people that I am a "Christian" living a life like Jesus and then stick the sword in their back. I do not have a pulpit I condemn them from and point my finger down at them (even though I have a Doctor of Divinity Degree). I do not go to the ladies character assassination and gossip auxiliary. I do not go to the deacons meeting and talk about how hot the young new preachers wife is.

My approach to people is that I am honest with them when asked and the rest of the time I am polite and friendly. I NEVER condemn the person - only the action - to THEM not to others unless it is necessary (such as work situation). I do not gossip or exaggerate. I help people when they ask and as a result I have many loyal friends that I trust with my life.

Again I only expressed my experience with organized religion and that I did not want to be associated with that type of behavior. It is still MY contention that I did not commit a judging (in the Biblical sense of the word) action because I did not judge a person ONLY those actions I have seen by MANY people claiming to be God like.

Judge not less ye be judged

And you think that isn't planned?

"Of course, their definition of “judgemental” and “anti-gay” isn’t the same as mine (or in fact, the same as anyone with half a functioning brain)"

The very act of pronouncing someone 'judgmental' is, in itself, a judgmental act.

Where it used to mean someone who condemns others for behavior he condones in himself, it now means anyone who in any way fails — even once — to live up to the most rigorous interpretation of the Christian moral code.

Well, if that's the standard, then all Christians, being imperfect humans, could be called hypocrites. As would everybody else, according to their adopted moral codes.

Being a college student I can safely say that less than 1% of the student body is truly saved and has a sound Christian world view.

It was. And you continue to do it.

I NEVER condemn the person

Perhaps if you define what you mean by 'condemning' I will see a difference between what you are doing and what you are complaining about.

It is still MY contention that I did not commit a judging (in the Biblical sense of the word) action because I did not judge a person ONLY those actions I have seen by MANY people claiming to be God like.

You are behaving in a hypocritical manner.

I'm just judging a behavior, so it must be okay in your book. ;)

Sure I said you could call it judging. You have the right to be wrong. Obviously you do not understand critical thinking.

Well it seems to me that the most fundamental freedoms that any nation can afford its citizens are the freedom of association and the freedom of dissent. Without those two, you just have a dictatorship of the majority. If that be the case, then it seems to me there is nothing wrong with a school that has compulsory attendence at Mass, or compulsory services or even compulsory observance of Ramadan, as long as both parents and adults understand and accept that position prior to signing on. That to me is far less dictatorial and dangerous than making children attend a school just because there doing so fulfils some artificial quota based on their race, or culture of origin, or gender.

"Yes. Odd eh? :)"

What I find particularly odd is how many people apparently do not grasp or appreciate that simple fact.

“Well, if that’s the standard, then all Christians, being imperfect humans, could be called hypocrites. As would everybody else, according to their adopted moral codes.”

That is precisely why the left has been pushing this redefinition.

The battle over words is well worth fighting. The left knows that you change the way people think by first changing the words they use — and their definitions.
