Californians waiting to see if Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would sign six bills pro-family groups called "bad and harmful" now have their answer: four of them are now law. One family activist thinks many of those who are disappointed and shocked by the governor's approval didn't really believe the measures would pass.
Schwarzenegger vetoed bills for same-sex "marriage" licenses and additional millions for abortions and birth control, but approved two bills -- SB 777 and AB 394. One mandates positive portrayal about homosexual and alternative sexual lifestyles in instruction and activities in public schools, and the other orders "anti-harassment" training for students, parents, and teachers including publications, handouts, and classroom curriculum.
Also signed were AB 102, which awards married surnames to homosexual couples; and AB 14, which opens up penalties for nonprofit organizations and churches receiving state funding for programs, and some private business operations, that do not support and affirm homosexuality and alternate sexuality.
Pro-family lobbyist Karen England with the Capitol Resource Institute says conservatives were concerned that in the year after his election, the governor might come back and sign these measures, after vetoing similar ones last session during campaign season.
"So he turned around [and did exactly that]. And now that he doesn't have to run for re-election, apparently he doesn't want to be the governor of all the people -- just the gay, lesbian, transgender caucus people in California," she suggests. "And he's going to force this on all of us, from north to south."
England says in her 12 years of lobbying for the pro-family movement in California, these were the worst bills to get through the legislature and be signed into law. She is hopeful their implementation in the state over the next year will be what finally shocks into action those conservatives who seemed doubtful about pro-family claims that the extreme measures could become law.
As for the governor's vetoing of the bills dealing with same-sex marriage, abortion, and birth control? England calls the move "throwing a bone" to conservatives and avoiding uncertain legal ground on marriage law because of the state's Proposition 22.
This should be the last straw!
Positive portrayal of a way of life for those who worship at the altar of anus?
Accommodating the perverts is as serious a sin as shoving one's pee-pee in another's poo-poo!
Arnold is useless.
Thumbs up what? They might enjoy that. Seriously, who writes these headlines?!
Thumbs up where?
...and they ain’t hitchhiking
Don't do it!! Reject Rudy McRomney and vote for a conservative.
Don't do it!! Reject Rudy McRomney and vote for a conservative.
There was an article this week (bear with me, its not easy) about two “clergy” that are together, started out as men, but both had a sex change and are now women in a committed relationship.
Are they gay? lesbian? trans-gender? we settled on weird.
Yet another reason to home school your kids, especially if you live in The People’s Republic of Kalifornia.
May the next Civil War start in the (now tarnished) Golden State.
I count more than that.
GLBT legislation sponsored/supported by Equality California:

At least it was just his thumb.
I predict a mass exodus from California public schools.
Unfortunately, I think you will be disappointed.
People assume that my wife and I are childless because we are bohemians or that we are into the high life. In fact, it’s because we were worried that I would end up in jail after what I’d end up doing down at the school (or, the administrative offices). Even private schools are no good, only home schooling has any hope. Those of you with kids in California (and coming soon to most other states) I feel for you. Maybe there really does need to be civil disobedience on a mass scale.
...it all goes downhill from there.
Grrr...am I reading this correctly. Does this basically mean that if churches speak out against homosexuality and alternate sexuality they can be penalized? Do they have to receive money from the state for this to apply? What would the penalties be?
Not happy about this...not one bit.
There is nothing new under the sun! The church is going to have to start cleaning itself up,, getting down on it’s knees,, begin some serious fasting and prayer! I for one am not going to bow to this crap. I do not care anymore. I will not go to sensitivity classes! I will not submit myself nor my children willingly to agree that perversion is perversion! Unless revival comes to this nation soon we are headed for a time when there will be no place left to run and hide. You can home school your kids all you want but those laws will change as well. This is perversion! It will always be perversion! It is also Fascism! It will never not be perversion and when the government mandates perverted thought it will never not be Fascism! They can call themselves the Democrat Party,, the Republican party or any name they want,, they are Fascists! They can pass all the laws they want to! God is not moved! All the schools and colleges and Universities can all together come out and declare perversion as normal and say sin is no longer sin but God is not moved! All the fake churches and fake church leaders regardless of who they call themselves can all come together and hold hands and declare homosexuality is not a sin,, and God will just laugh! He is the same today, yesterday and forever! What must past generations think of this generation of Americans?? What must past generations of Christians think of this generations of Christians?? I am all for political action! Political action will not change nor bring revival to this nation! “The effectual earnest prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much!” James 5:16 First,, the church has to be righteous!! THAT MEANS THE CHURCH NEEDS TO REPENT! Than,,PRAY LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART SOUL AND STRENGTH AND KEEP PRAYING! And STOP ASKING AND WHINING BEFORE GOD AND START DECLARING THINGS AND SPEAKING TO THE MOUNTAINS! No Christian should be out speaking at rallies, running for office or whining and complaining if they do not have a prayer life!! I guess this post is directed at those that can understand what I am saying here! God help this nation! We have become so desensitized! State governments are actually mandating homosexual thought and action on families, schools and even churches!! 75 years ago had a single politician dared to suggest such a thought it would have caused marches or riots! Today?? Barely a stir except on a few blogs like this! Political action and writing posts on blogs will never replace the church repenting and praying, crying out to God for revival!! I guess it all comes down to how much we really do care and where out treasure really is!
About a year ago, just outside San Francissyco there was a farm where homosexuals could join in order to have sex with the animals.
The story hit the papers about a chap who was having sex with a horse and the horse ripped him apart and killed him.
Yes. This is happening in the Netherlands now.
