Just remember: never ever let the puppy put his teeth on you. Period.
Also: never hit the dog. Shaming is almost more punishment than they can bear, and is most effective at correcting misbehavior. Stern commands establish the alpha dog, and if he is shown something, he will try like anything to please you.
Also: they never forget anything. They are quick to forgive if you accidently step on a toe, or something, they really are brainy about reading you. All they want is your love and attention (and your food). If you are too busy, they will wait. They get depressed, though, if you neglect to love and cuddle them.
