I used to think Friedman was smart.... Gore displayed dignity and grace? Yes, maybe if he had conceded the election on election night and not put the country through an unprecedented four-week sturm-and-drang featuring the most ludicrous legal arguments. So, Gore spent all those years in the Senate, and eight years in the Vice Presidency, certainly what one might reasonably call high office, and he did what for combating global warming? What did he do when he was in a position to get something done? Well, I guess he shook down some Buddhist monks at that temple in LA for campaign contributions, made illegal fund raising calls from federal property and then claimed "no controlling legal authority". Yeah, he really did a lot to fight global warming when he actually had a job with the government.

Crap. This is just typical of a writer who admitted he got his jollies from that picture of an M-16 shoved in the face of a young child by a JBT when Clinton launched his raid on Little Havana.
