This piece drove right past absurdity and crashed into comedy...

Sometimes, it's difficult to discern the difference between comedy and tragedy.

Gore lost the presidency, but in the dignity and grace with which he gave up his legal fight, he united America.

I used to think Friedman was smart.... Gore displayed dignity and grace? Yes, maybe if he had conceded the election on election night and not put the country through an unprecedented four-week sturm-and-drang featuring the most ludicrous legal arguments. And even if he won the popular vote - YOU STILL HAVE TO WIN THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE! Friedman you jagoff!

I believe Al Gore is insane and his insane rantings should be relegated to the trash bin.

So, Gore spent all those years in the Senate, and eight years in the Vice Presidency, certainly what one might reasonably call high office, and he did what for combating global warming? What did he do when he was in a position to get something done? Well, I guess he shook down some Buddhist monks at that temple in LA for campaign contributions, made illegal fund raising calls from federal property and then claimed "no controlling legal authority". Yeah, he really did a lot to fight global warming when he actually had a job with the government.

Crap. This is just typical of a writer who admitted he got his jollies from that picture of an M-16 shoved in the face of a young child by a JBT when Clinton launched his raid on Little Havana.

Dignity and grace?
What was he going to do?
Physically attack the Supreme Court building?

The "Republican-dominated" Supreme Court is a lovely concept. Just as a "Democrat-Dominated" Supreme Court must be...

Yeah, right. Algore's little three month temper tantrum in the courts was the epitome of dignity and grace. LOL!

Gore may indeed do more damage as a private kook than he did as a public kook. I hope future generations don’t pay too high a price for his climate idiocy.

The President can’t afford to be as irresponsible as Al Gore. Gore has certainly made money out of office...but that is all he has done, proving that P.T. Barnum was right.

What did Gore do in all the years he was in office, either as Vice President or Senator?

Dignity and grace? Dignity and grace is Nixon not challenging the 1960 elcetion despite strong evidence of fraud so that the sort of shadow/delay that Gore caused in 2000 wouldn’t happen.

HAhahaha! GORE's legal fight was anti-Constitutional! He fought to have Military Votes discarded! he had his Polling places CALL Florida residences in a number of counties where votes were close and insinuate the voting was faulty. He is a sh** at best.

Lets see...Algore got the airport security oversight role in the last years of the Clintoon presidency.

I don't remember this. If true it's a real bombshell.
Got any links?

Yep it’s a tragic comedy that Al Gore is given any relevancy in this world...*sigh*

Yes, maybe if he had conceded the election on election night

I don't have to get snippy about it, but he did, in fact, concede the election on election night. It was a brief moment when he actually did exhibit the dignity and grace Friedman gives him credit for.

Of course, he then called Bush back and "unconceded," reverting to the self-centered, tantrum-throwing, jackass form Al Gore has trademarked.

“Gore is a nutcase and should be in a strait jacket”

P.T. Barnum would have loved this entire scam...

I remember it very well and it was mentioned several times after 9/11. But the MSM didn’t pick it up and run with it so it disappeared down the memory hole...

Americans are already paying the price. As usual, California is leading the fringe trend; as well as paying the price: Nutjobs, 1; Taxpaying Americans, 0.

Check this out...

Harmless Nutjobs?

For Gore, it was winning the popular vote and having the election taken away from him by a Republican-dominated Supreme Court.

Bush won fair and square. Give up the B.S. already. Gore lost the presidency, but in the dignity and grace with which he gave up his legal fight, he united America.

Like hell he did. He went to court, and LOST. Your first sentence contradicts the second. Typical leftist LOOSER crap.

As for Gore "uniting the country", what utter B.S. as well. Leftist loons have been whining, just like this piece, ever since. They have been doing everthing possible to "impeach Bush". They have been doing everything they can to "loose the war",including conspiring with terrorists to get troops killed. because they feel that will "bring down Bush"

As for Gore "deserving" the peace prize, nothing could be further from the truth, well except for Gore's "convenient lies" fictional documentary, a new Hollywood film making category. It wasn't even very good, but to Hollywierdo leftists, it isn't truth or quality that matters, it's all about Bush, and getting in a cheap shot no matter what.
