Where is Fred Thompson? (New Hampshirites feel slighted)

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Mitt Romney was in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada and then went back to Michigan. Rudy Giuliani visited Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Alabama, Washington and New Hampshire. John McCain went from Michigan to Iowa to New Hampshire.

But where was Fred, as in Fred Thompson?

--snip--

New Hampshire voters on Sunday expressed a range of opinions about Thompson.

"I like him, but he won't make it," said Claire Roy, a Manchester Republican who, like most voters, remains undecided. "He started too late to begin with. I don't think he's presidential material. That's the way I look at it."

Added Ann Essensa, an independent voter from Exeter who visited Giuliani on Sunday: "I don't know enough about (Thompson) yet. I haven't seen him yet."

Norma Champagne, a Manchester Republican, seemed willing to give Thompson a chance.

"He hasn't turned anyone off," said Champagne, who visited an AARP forum this weekend. "He did that other debate and he did very well."

I think it is a bit ridiculous to say “New Hampshireites feel slighted” when they only talked to about three people in the article!

There's a joke about NH voters that goes like this:

Two friends are discussing the upcoming NH primary and one says, "What do you think of this candidate?" His friend says, "I don't know. I only met him twice."

PROTIP: New Hampshire is tiny and isn’t that important to most of us. :p

If NH voters cannot vote on the issues and will only vote for candidates who stroke their gentle egos, I say be done with them!

I think this is the 3rd thread on this (non)issue -

After first debate, Thompson disappears from campaign trail, cancels event in NH
After First Debate, Thompson's Absence Noticed on Campaign Trail

Come on, gnats - come up with something new...

Furthermore their overstated influence is diminished every time a big state moves their primary up.

Personally, I find myself disappointed by voters in New Hampshire each national election cycle. Why on earth they get so much ‘sway’ in election cycles is beyond comprehension.

The MSM writes these scripts and sees that they are carried out. For Obama, you knew it was going to be the bright young star and ultimately got beat out by the experienced political machine. For Fred, they have been writing this too late, too lazy story for a while. Fred might be blowing off Iowa and NH and moving into the next round of primaries where he is polling strong. Clintoon in 92 and Bush in 2000 did not take NH. On the democratic side in Iowa, if you look how many people actually vote, it is silly anyone pays attention!!!

Yeah, Ron raised lots of dough in so called independent NH. There are more voters living in Belmont Shore, Ca. down the street from where I live than in NH. It is about time we tell them, who cares who they vote for unless they actually compare the agendas of all the candidates and want to see socialism and pacifism die the death it deserves. Frankly, I am sick and tired of NH and Iowa being so so so important to the media and to each other as if those two states with at least 7 electoral votes should determine the national election.
