Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
walkin through the streets of Soho in the rain.
He was lookin for the place called Lee Ho Fooks, gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein.

Chorus:

Aaahoo, werewolves of London

Aaahoo(2x)

Ya hear him howlin around your kitchen door, ya better not let him in.

Little old lady got mutilated late last night, werewolves of London again.

Chorus 2x

He's the hairy, hairy gent, who ran amok in Kent.

Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair.

You better stay away from him, he'll rip your lungs out Jim.

Huh, I'd like to meet his tailor.

Chorus 2x

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walkin with the queen, doing the werewolves of London.

I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walkin with the queen, doin the werewolves of London

I saw a werewolf drinkin a pina colada at Trader Vic's And his hair was perfect.

ahhhooooo, werewolves of London

Draw blood

”Aretha Franklin & the Blues Brothers - Think

Think (think) think (think) think (think) think (think) You think (think) think (think) think about it You better think (think) think about what you're trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
Let's go back, let's go back, let's go way on back when
I didn't even know you, you couldn't have been too much more than ten
I ain't no psychiatrist, I ain't no doctor with a degree
It don't take too much high IQ's to see what you're doing to me
You better think (think) think about what you're trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free

Oh freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, yeah freedom
Freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, oh freedom
Hey, think about it
You, think about it

There ain't nothing you could ask I could answer you but I won't (I won't)
I was gonna change, but I'm not, to keep doing things I don't
Hey think about what you're trying to do to me
Baby, think, let your mind go, let yourself be free
People walking around everyday, playing games that they can score
Trying to make other people lose their minds, be careful you don't lose yours

Yeah think (think) think about what you're trying to do to me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
You need me (need me) and I need you (don't you know) Without eachother there ain't nothing people can do
Yeah yeah, think about me (what you're trying to do to me)
'Till the fall of the night, think about it right now

Oh freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, yeah freedom
Freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, freedom Hey, you, think about it

There ain't nothing you could ask I could answer you but I won't (I won't)
I was gonna change, but I'm not, if you keep doing things I don't
Yeah (think) think about what you're trying to do to me
Baby, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
You need me (need me) and I need you (don't you know) Without eachother there ain't nothing people can do

Yeah yeah, think about me (what you're trying to do to me)
'Till the fall of the night, think about it baby

(Think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about it)
(Think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about it)
(Think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about it)
(Think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about - ah me, think about it)
You had better stop and think before you think Think!

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid-Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head

Artist: B.J. Thomas Song: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

[trumpet]

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me””

I say a little prayer for you-My best Friend's Wedding

The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little pray for you
While combing my hair now,
And wondering what dress to wear now,
I say a little prayer for you

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart
and I will love you
Forever, and ever, we never will part
Oh, how I love you
Together, forever, that's how it must be
To live without you
Would only meen heartbreak for me.

I run for the bus, dear,
While riding I think of us, dear,
I say a little prayer for you.
At work I just take time
And all through my coffee break-time,
I say a little prayer for you.

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart
and I will love you
Forever, and ever we never will part
Oh, how I'll love you
Together, forever, that's how it must be
To live without you
Would only mean heartbreak for me.

I say a little prayer for you

I say a little prayer for you

My darling believe me, ( beleive me)
For me there is no one but you!
Please love me too (answer his pray)
And I'm in love with you (answer his pray)
Answer my prayer now babe (answer his pray)

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart
and I will love you
Forever, and ever we never will part
Oh, how I'll love you
Together, forever, that's how it must be
To live without you
Would only mean heartbreak for me (oooooooooh)
Ooo

Ghostbuster

If there's something strange
in your neighborhood

Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

If there's something weird
and it don't look good

Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!

I ain't afraid of no ghost
I ain't afraid of no ghost

If you're seeing things
running through your head

Who can you call?

Ghostbusters!

An invisible man
sleeping in your bed

Oh, who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

I ain't afraid of no ghost

I ain't afraid of no ghost

Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

If you're all alone
pick up the phone

And call:

Ghostbusters!

I ain't afraid of no ghost
I hear it likes the girls

I ain't afraid of no ghost

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

Well, if you've had a dose of
a freaky ghost baby
You'd better call:
Ghostbusters! Ow!

Let me tell you something
Bustin' makes me feel good

I ain't afraid of no ghost
I ain't afraid of no ghost

Don't get caught alone, oh no

Ghostbusters!

When it comes through your door
Unless you just want some more
I think you better call

Ghostbusters!

Ow!

Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters!

Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive (Airplane!)

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm.
I've been kicked around since I was born.
And now it's all right, it's O.K.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man.

Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Feel the city breakin'
And ev'rybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.
Stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.

Well now, I get low and I get high
And if I can't get either I really try.
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes
I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose.
You know it's all right, it's O.K.
I'll live to see another day.
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man.

Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin'
And ev'rybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.
Stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.

Life goin' nowhere.
Somebody help me.
Somebody help me, yeah.
Life goin' nowhere.
Somebody help me, yeah.

Stayin' alive

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.

And now it's all right, it's O.K.

What a wonderful world this would be (Harrison Ford)Witness. (WHAT A) WONDERFUL WORLD

(Cooke/Alpert/Adler)

Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about science books
Don't know much about the french I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you loved me too
What a wonderful world this would be

Don't know much about geography
Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra
Don't know what a slide rule is for
But I know that one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this would be

Now I don't claim to be an A student
But I'm tryin' to be
Oh maybe by being an A student, baby
I can win your love for me

Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about science books
Don't know much about the french I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you loved me too
What a wonderful world this would be

------ lead guitar ------

But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you loved me too
What a wonderful world this would be

No question ... "Over The Rainbow" ... the greatest single identifiable theme song for any movie ever!!!

Then of course, there is "A Hard Days Night" and "HELP" ... but I'm a hopeless Beatles fan, so I'm biased ;)

The proper name for that song is “The Gael” Unlike in the movie “the last of the mohicans, it is usually played on bagpipes. It sounds a bit different this way. Both version are great.

"Misirlou" from Pulp Fiction

Good choice.

Pulp Fiction has a great soundtrack. Here are some other songs from it:

"Son Of A Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield

"You Never Can Tell" by Chuck Berry

"Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon" - Urge Overkill

Okay, a quick rundown of the Oscars reveals:

Year Song Film Comments
1999 You'll Be in My heart Tarzan Most of Tarzan's music was good. Funny, I had to go back to the 20th century for something I liked. And it beat out South Park.
1997 My Heart Will Go On Titanic ... but I'll whack my head with a tire iron if I hear it again. But I have memories of a 4-year-old singing along with the radio.
1995 Colors of the Wind Pocahontas Only good number from Pocahontas. They ruined Mel Gibson's song by giving most of it to David Ogden Stiers.
1994 Can You Feel the Love Tonight The Lion King Most of The Lion King was good.
1993 Streets of Philadelphia Philadelphia Horrible song. It was Bruce. It was AIDS. It was awful and dreary.
1992 A Whole New World Aladdin Aladdin had a good soundtrack even though it had TWO lyricists. Loved Robin Williams' songs.
1991 Beauty and the Beast Beauty and the Beast Beauty and the Beast raised the bar
1989 Under the Sea The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid set the standard
1986 Take My Breath Away Top Gun This was probably my least favorite hit from Top Gun
1969 Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Just to show that it isn't all about the new stuff ...
1967 Talk to the Animals Doctor Doolittle Well, wouldn't you?
1964 Chim Chim Cheree Mary Poppins Back to Disney, back when they knew how to write them.
1944 Swingin' On A Star Going My Way Sorry, but it's Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral that really gets you.
1942 White Christmas Holiday Inn .
1940 When You Wish Upon A Star Pinocchio .
1939 Over the Rainbow The Wizard of Oz or Follow the Yellow Brick Road or If I Only Had a Brain ...

The funny thing is that there are some songs that I recognize (on the original list) that I didn't realize (or remember) came from movies. And there are movies that make you scratch your head and say, "There was music in that?"

...and your tag is the WORST song The Beatles ever recorded? What's up with that?

BTW: you left out "Let It Be", (album version ---way better than the single), not to mention "Yellow Submarine"
