Awesome job Rush. I'm drafting a letter to send to my two great Senators, here in NY, asking them to accept Rush's challenge, and showing their support by putting their money where their mouths are and matching the high bid.

I wonder what the final bid will be before it stops ? $ 250,000 ? $ 300,000 ? $ 1,000,000 ? anyone want to take a guess ?

I wonder if Soros bids a million, would Rush let him have it?

I’m gonna guess high 6-digits.
The last two hours should be interesting. I suspect there are a lot of “sleepers” out there just waiting.

Rush suggested that it might be tax-deductable (ask your tax advisor). If so, the sky's the limit.
(It's a good cause, a tax deduction and poking a stick in the eyes of 41 moonbats. Who could ask for more?)

Well it IS a collectable, one of a kind. The first time a gaggle of sitting senators and senatrixes, especially liberal ones, who have decided to skewer their own sacred cow, the first amendment, which they have used relentlessly to foist a barral of crap on the public, onto a private citizen, to what? To stifle speech! The utter hypocracy is there for the world to see, and a probably very valuable collector's item.
Just think of the possibilities, for example, when one of these miscreants is running for re-election, and the opponant buys a full page ad with the letter prominantly displayed, along with the signatures, to show just how much the particular person really believes in the first amendment. :-)

I wonder if Soros bids a million, would Rush let him have it? Absolutely....Soros donating to U.S. military charities would be a great irony.
You rule Rush, great job turning this idiotic smear to a good cause!

I will take a stab and say somewhere between $300,000 and $500,000. From the get go I though hundreds of thousands but it grew far quicker than I thought. I think it could reach 1M or more. Well, that is a guess all over the place. LOL!!
I love every single minute of it. I think I heard that he is thinking about presenting it on the Capitol steps. Where ever he does it I hope it is with great publicity and 41 empty chairs with each Senator's name.
I think if you go to Rush's page there is a postal worker that called in with another great idea that would give the Foundation much more money.

My thinking also. A major kiss on the A$$! LOL

Good question, in all good conscience ? I hope not.
But ? who ever might buy it, the poor soul, would the Democrats try to seize it to try to hide the fact that it ever happen since the America public is starting to wise up in this latest smear ?
And ? would they go as far as a : Waco ? Ruby Ridge ? or Elian Gonzalez tactic to try to seize the letter back so there won't be any proof ?
Some people might think, that, that thought would be extreme, but, we are talking about the Democrats here.
