LOL! I said before I wondered if there was anything like that. The only decision I could think of that Howie might have gone after him for was the gag order on a parents' rights group who taped a "workshop" on teaching gay sex to kids. I can't find a Howie column on the subject (and I don't know if it was on the radio), but I can't imagine Howie passing on it!
He finally gave up on the wig, I guess.

Ex-gov dropped ball on riding Red Sox’ coattails

This is the reason Mitt Romney should have run for re-election last year: the Red Sox are in the World Series.
He must be kicking himself as he considers the multiple ways he could be getting himself splashed all over the TV news in New Hampshire, if only he were still governor of Massachusetts.
He could be making goofy bets with the governor of Colorado about the outcome of the Series.
He could be holding a press conference with Mayor Mumbles Menino, issuing stern warnings to the not-so-juvenile delinquents in Kenmore Square about what will happen to any tattooed, nose ring-wearing lout who even thinks about rioting after the games.
He could be inviting the press into the Corner Office this morning to watch him put on a Red Sox cap and then sign an official proclamation declaring this to be Red Sox Day in the commonwealth: “WHEREAS, I, Willard Mitt Romney, do hereby declare that this is a fine photo op for WMUR Channel 9 in Manchester . . .”
Who knows - if he were still governor, Mitt might even have rated one of those inane in-the-stands celeb interviews tonight. He could have genially wondered what happened to Rudy’s Yankees or McCain’s D-backs. He might have mentioned that he was raised in Michigan, another early-primary state, and added, “You know, it’s been a good run for me - last year the Tigers, my childhood team, and now the Sox. . . .”
Say what you will about Mitt Romney, the guy liked being governor. Remember last year, when then-Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey’s people privately started broaching the subject of him resigning and turning the governorship over to her, the better to keep it in GOP hands.
“I paid $6 million to get this job,” Mitt supposedly said, “and I’m keeping it.”
Of course, 2006 was a bad year for Republicans. It probably would have cost Mitt at least $10 million to retain the governorship. But guess what - with the Sox in the World Series, it would have been a bargain.
I mean, Mitt has already “loaned” his presidential campaign $17 million, much of which has gone for TV and radio advertising in the early primary states, the earliest of which is New Hampshire. But a 30-second spot isn’t nearly as effective as being part of the actual entertainment, and being governor of Massachusetts this week while running for president in New Hampshire would have been the best “product placement” ever.
Of course, politicians can blow their chances of jumping on the bandwagon of a streaking pro team. Remember John Kerry during the last Red Sox Series run in 2004 - his references to “Manny Ortiz,” his girly-man pitching style and his annoying habit of announcing scores at late-night rallies: “Tigers 2, Red Sox 3.”
It’s baseball, Senator, not tennis.
But Mitt isn’t reaping any Red Sox-related dividends, because he couldn’t be bothered running for a second term. And now sometimes Mitt must look back and wonder about the road not taken. But how could he have known? Until now, the New Hampshire primary was always in February, by which time the World Series is a fading memory.
But this year, who knows when the “First-in-the-Nation” primary will be first in the nation? There’s been speculation it could take place as early as Dec. 11. There won’t be any problems printing ballots - the filing deadline is Nov. 2, and the candidates don’t have to worry about getting their signatures certified, because New Hampshire requires no signatures, only a filing fee. If your check doesn’t bounce, you’re on the ballot.

Oh well, it’s too late for Mitt to cash in now on Red Sox fever. But Mitt, if anyone does ask you who your favorite player is, forget about “Manny Ortiz” and stick with Curt Schilling. He’s a Republican.

“9-noon host” ad on the WRKO site awhile back and I
said, “It’s probably an old ad, back from when their
slots were 6-9 am and 9-noon”. When the Felon started
in Feb those slots became 6-10 and 10-noon.

A job posting on WRKO’s Web site appears to indicate a new schedule that would cut Tom Finneran’s morning show by a full hour but a station spokesman says the ad should have been removed.
The ad on the station’s Web site seeks “a midday show host to fill our 9 (AM)-noon slot” - but Finneran’s four-hour early-morning gig, which precedes that slot, runs until 10 a.m.
WRKO spokesman George Regan said the ad is “no longer relevant” and was set to be removed from the Web site. Regan would not say whether plans call for Finneran’s hours to change.
The station’s current midmorning host, Todd Feinburg, has been filling in during the afternoon drive since Howie Carr’s contract expired last month. Carr is embroiled in what could be a lengthy legal battle to leave WRKO (680 AM) and take over the morning-drive show on WTKK (96.9 FM).
WRKO’s overall ratings were down 28 percent among 25- to 54-year-old listeners from the spring to summer, according to Arbitron. Finneran was down 16 percent; Feinburg was down 7 percent and Carr was down 39 percent in that demographic. WTTK’s ratings also were substantially down.
Among those expressing interest in an on-air role at the station is Cape Cod blogger Peter Kenney, who has been credited with breaking news on the Masshpee Wampanoag tribe’s casino push in Middleboro.
Kenney, 60, a freelance writer and blogger for CapeCodToday.com, said he has spent a “long time on the phone” with WRKO Program Director Jason Wolfe since Kenney went on a show at the station last month.
Kenney said he’s spoken to Wolfe twice on the phone.
“He said, ‘Well, do you think you could do what Howie does?’ And I said, ‘Yeah,”’ said Kenney, who is known for his aggressive coverage of the Wampanoags.“I’m aware that there are some changes happening at WRKO and I’ve asked them if they’d be interested in seeing if we can work something out.”
Kenney was the morning-drive host on Cape Cod’s WXTK (95.1 FM) but left in 1995 when the station refused to raise his pay.
OK then Entercom, let Howie go to ‘TKK and you can have this guy (is this the Peter Porcupine guy I’ve noticed
online?) instead.
