I would not be surprised if these fires were all a result of arson. They seem to be multiplying at a high rate. Probably some enviro-whacko wanting to gin up some Global Warming “evidence” to further their “religion.” ......

I spent nearly two years in San Bernadino, at Norton AFB, in the early 1980’s. Beautiful country up there in the mountains.

The air quality in general is so much better in recent years. I arrived in March, 1982, and couldn’t see any mountains. The air was opaque for weeks before it cleared enough for me to believe that anything was there.

I just received an e-mail from my mother-in law. My spouses sister and her family were evacuated at 4:00 AM. They will most likely lose their home. They are finding it difficult to find any hotels or shelter. Everything is booked. They have plenty of resources. I suggested renting a luxury travel trailer.

Anyone in S Cal have any ideas? They are desperate!

The further left Kalifornia moves, the less and less I give a hang about them. They want to live their green leftist way, support Democrats who want the US to lose the War on Terror and then try to force their views upon me via legislation. So do not expect me to lose a second of sleep for these folks. If they cannot see the forest for the trees, then they deserve to be consumed.

I'm down in Rosarito now, and the winds here have been CRAZY strong for the last couple days. We had a power outage last night and the power just came back on earlier this evening.

The sky was also red down here yesterday, I guess from all the dust and maybe the smoke from SD.

When I was a kid my dad was taking me to lunch around the corner from his office. He took a shotcut through a subdivision and as we were going down the street a man runs out in front of the car. he was yelling something.

Dad looks at me, points to a house and says "that must be his house". I look over at the house and there is smoke coming out from the weep holes under the eves. My dad jumps out and says to me "stay here" and runs back to the house with the man. In a minute out they come with a couch. But that was all they got out. The house really starts to burn.

A fire truck shows up and the firemen jump out and hook a hose up. The have all their stuff on and I'm looking at this burning house and figure they are going to start spraying water on top of it. Then they do something I'll never forget. Several of them grab the hose and they run in to the house! They run right in to the burning house! I said "dad did you see that!?" and he tells me "that's what they do".

Ever since that day with my father I've been in awe of the bravery of firefighters. I hope none are injured or worse in these fires.

Hubby just got dispatched out. He’s a PIO, and dispatcher didn’t know which fire he was going to. He’ll find out when he pics up his paperwork in an hour.

Friend of mine in Crestline decided to shelter in place. I could kick his butt...

My son is a wildland firefighter with the USFS stationed at Mt Palomar, near San Diego and is on the line as I write. Please pray for him.
