Wednesday Cloture Vote Set For DREAM Act Amnesty Bill (October 23) Last night, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed to invoke cloture on S. 2205, Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbins (D-Ill.) new stand-alone DREAM Act amnesty bill. The cloture vote, for which 60 YES votes are necessary to prevent a filibuster on the measure, is set for Wednesday, October 24. Reid is attempting to bring this nightmarish amnesty bill to the floor under Senate Rule XIV without it ever having been debated in committee... Click here for more background on the DREAM Act.
It is imperative that NumbersUSA members call their senators today to ask them to vote NO on cloture for S. 2205.

McCaskill wants to keep her job. She voted against. k.B. Hutchinson proved she was the open borders RINO I suspected she was, by voting for it since she’s announced she will not run again.
Specter surprised me though with his vote.
I thank the Democrats and Republicans that voted this down. Even McCain’s puppet who for ONCE did something useful..but only because he’s up for re-election in South carolina where they dislike him right now. The rest? Screw you. Including you Coleman. the ONE issue most of the country, even liberals, agree with and you’d be asafe supporting in a liberal state where you’re up for re-election and you again support amnesty. I have NO kind words for you.
Yea. If we look to a few months ago didn’t Dinghy Harry bring the Amnesty Bill back up the same day for a second cloture vote or some kind of a re-count of the initial cloture vote?
I’m sorry for asking this again, because I know the vote isn’t clear yet, but does anyone know how Senator Craig voted for sure?
C-span just had a graphic that said, “Senate fails to move the Immigration Bill foward 52-44 (60 Aye votes needed)”.
?
Which means this was not really even close.

From the website http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/vote_menu_110_1.htm now.... Cloture motion rejected. So, that’s not a good sign.
Right?
I’m so confused.

She voted AYE today. It means for cloture, supporting the bill.
Sorry I couldn’t get back to you earlier.
Sessions up now talking about the DREAM Act
“I hope this strong vote sends a message ...the DREAM Act we just rejected would give at least 1.3 milion illegal aliens benefits...a financial bonus
Have to have sanctions, punishments ..we start rewarding them with benefits..should not be in a better postition than legal residents...
Stop rewarding illegal immigration...
Even Pres Bush ...opposed this bill
No degree required...they could bring their family members...
Brought here as children...not a clear picture....
Stop providing benefits to people here illegally...
You send a message thast if you can just get into America illegally you get rewarded in front of those who are waiting to enter legally...
You not suppose to be able to get in stat tuition...
do we have the will to enforce our immigration laws
Further erode an already weak system..
Not the right way to go..sends wrong message
you will be at the head of the line and be rewarded for it..
According to a CSPAN graphic Craig voted “eye”
It’s a great sign. It was DEFEATED, PERIOD. They have to bring it up again like the defeat of the conprehnsive bill a few months earlier.
Sessions for president sometime
:)
LOL - make that “aye”

Man, I think I got it now. It’s a good thing that Cloture was defeated. Whew. This is so confusing to me.
Anyway, good news. Nomination confirmed for a solidly conservative judge, AND, defeat once again for the Dims. Woo hoo!
Correct, what do you expect from a pervert? LOL
