Well, if the Dimocrats will stay home a few days a week, I’ll vote for a raise.

For once I agree with the rats. The reason is simple, “No ones live, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.” - Mark Twain.

Their promise to work harder than Republicans and then break their campaign promise is one promise I am glad to see broken.
We all win by the RATS being in DC less. Cut it even more.

Didn't the Liberal-Socilaists last election make a gigantic stink over how little the Repubs actually worked, how THEY were going to (paraphrased)
"Change the way business was done in DC"; thereby, implying the Repubs were lazy do-nothings?
NOW a year later they're *planning* this?
Unbelievable.
Not to worry, our quisling mediots will be all over it.
...I'm sure. :o)

How about we dock their pay $10,000 for every new law they pass.

I think that between the two that would do it!

That is an oxymoronic statement. They do nothing now and less would be even better.

The Democrats want to take a vacation in an election year despite getting nothing done. I think the voters should accomodate their wishes next November.

Never in my wildest dreams would I call the activity that ANY CongressCritter performs "work." Pandering, populism and writing legislation to destroy our nation rather than uphold our highest ideals is NOT real work. For pols to even mutter the word "work" is an insult of the highest order to the real workers in our nation.

It just proves that they will SAY anything to raise their popularity ratings...
BTW ‘’W’’ should pass an edict that whenever the MSM mentions his POOR RATINGS, they should have to follow with,
“however he is still a point or 2 ABOVE the Congressional rating”......
Like WJC said (on his brothers pardon) ‘WHAT IS THE SENSE OF BEING PREZ IF YOU CANT PARDON YOUR BROTHER’?....

Actually the President’s rating is about 10-15 points higher then Congress’s. And unlike them, the President is not on the ballot in Nov 2008.
