U.S. Military: Iranian-Made Rockets Hit Base Near Baghdad
Fox News ^ | 10/27/07 | Fox News

Rockets fired at a U.S. base southeast of Baghdad were manufactured in Iran, showing again that country’s continued logistical support for insurgents inside Iraq, U.S. military officials said on Saturday.

Nobody was injured in the October 23rd attack on Combat Outpost Cashe, but one U.S. vehicle was damaged, officials said.

According to the military, the 107mm rocket was made in Iran sometime in March. Troops investigating the launch site seized six rocket rails – used to aim and launch the rockets, an unfired rocket and a timing device.

The seized rocket is the 40th Iranian manufactured rocket that soldiers have captured in the last four months, the military said.

Just saw the video on FoxNews...dozens of Iranian made rockets and launchers were shown.

More proof of Iran's interference and attacks on US Troops. Where's the outrage?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why there haven’t been some ‘accidents’ in Iran. Imanutjob’s aircraft must have some pretty old parts...and it’s not like they have OSHA crawling all over their nukular building facility, wouldn’t you think someone would drop a wrench into a cooling pump system?

It’s time to see some action in IRAN!

I agree. Look, if it were you and I that had the opportunity, we’d have to think of our families just like those folks do. Sabotaging infrastructure would be a certain death sentence, and without so much as an arrest either.

In spirit, I certainly agree with you though. It would be nice if the Iranians stepped up and demanded a leadership change, as well as a change of course in the direction Iran is headed.

Still, our government seldom listens to us, and we’re supposed to have a much more representative government than they do.

Yes, Iranian sabotage would be risky, but didn’t we used to have something called ‘covert ops’ some years ago or did the Crinton Admin get rid of all that too?

As I recall, Carter was the original dufus. During his administration he put our intelligence agencies in the spotlight, eviscerated them, then whined because he had no assetts when it came to the hostage crisis.

That guy was an outright clown when it came to insight and leadership.

Clinton cut back the military unreasonably to balance the budgets, but I don’t remember him going after our intelligence agencies. Someone else may.

Remember Clinton cutting the number of government employees? That’s where the military was useful for him.

Bush is a wuss. Plain and simple.

He is impotent. Somebody with some balls needs to lead this country.

I would have gotten rid of Condi ages ago. He is probably in love with her.

Something would have been done by now if he had someone else in charge.

Sure your right...

Get Real.. Bush is and has always been a man of action... So for choices lets see we had Gore.. hmm how would he have acted post 911... mabye he would have paid Al-Qaida off or offered them some Carbon Credits... and then of course in 04 we had John Kerry and his Global test that certainly would have handled Iran by now don’t you think... or maybe we can just go back to the days of good ol’boy Bill when he was too interested in getting a BJ to worry about UBL..

In fact lets just turn our military over to the UN and let them fix the problems in the world... We can always build a Wall around AMerica that ought to fix the problem right...

Your personal attacks on Bush and the Secretary Of State sound like you might be more comfortable posting on DU but then many people such as yourself have been hypnotized by the media and the left that you start to believe the vile crap that you spew... Bush is not and never has been the problem so get a grip....

exactly which one of the cadidates running for the WH in 08 has the balls that they need to lead this country anyway?

“Send Condi in to look real stern.”

Nah, she will just have a press conference with Jimmy Carter and they will denounce Israel and the U.S. Then she will apologize for the U.S. having committed genocide against the native Americans and for the need for reparations to the African countries for taking slaves.

Go Condi.
