Hillary Wins Only If GOP Surrenders?
No Compromises ^ | 11/5/2007 | Jefferson Paine

Posted on 11/05/2007 5:57:35 PM PST by Jefferson Paine

Don’t let anyone fool you into believing that Hillary Clinton is the odds on favorite to win the Presidency in 2008. To the contrary, the next heir to the Oval Office is the GOP’s to lose. The following is my case.

Undoubtedly, Mrs. Clinton will win the Democrat nomination for POTUS – in effect, she’s already won. How can I be so confident? Because she’s got the one thing that no other Democrat running has – the brand name ‘Clinton’ – and it simply cannot be overcome on the Left. Their base sees this “two-fer” as more than enough to win - and Democrats are desperate to win the Presidency.

Witness the phenomenon of John Forbes Kerry, Vietnam War hero. Remember when he strutted victorious from the Iowa caucus in 2004, whipping out his uneasy, crooked salute? Without knowing hardly anything about him, like dominoes the Democrat rank and file robotically fell into line until he had the party’s nomination quickly wrapped up.

But, as we know, his Presidential bid was ill-fated as Democrat dreams fell prey again to his arch-nemesis, and utterly incompetent George W. Bush. Why did Democrats so blindly put up such a lame contender? Here’s the dirty little secret: It’s because Democrats are not very discerning about their candidate, because just about anyone can be anointed as their Thief-in-Chief. On the Left, where fascistic group-think makes it easy to control their base, all that is needed from the candidate is simply hardcore pandering, grand promises of free goodies, and a reason to jump en masse on the anointed Democrat’s magic carpet ride all the way to those verdant White House grounds. Kerry fit the bill early, and the ‘Anyone-but-Bush’ automatons got in behind him lightning-quick and never let go, despite his sophomoric rival’s ‘Don’t-mess-with-Texas’ campaign.

I don’t think her thighness will be on the ticket. She couldn’t handle round one of un-scripted questions; she won’t be able to handle anymore unless she gets a big pass. I think the Dummycrats will rue the day that she, an unconvicted felon of many crimes, stumbles onto the ticket.

America loses and drops into a black hole malaise. This may be a terrible downfall for this nation if this woman becomes president.

Lately I feel I’m living in a parallel universe with way too many sheeple supporting Hillary.

But being the eternal optimist that I am, I see some unforseen mud coming Her Royal Thighness’s way real soon.

I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani...not any way, shape, or form.

Anyone who insists on Giuliani is guilty of handing the election to Hillary.

No. Surrender is not an option. Hillary wins only if there is a 3rd-party candidate on the right. Period. I wager she will spend up to half of that 70 million she's raised to pay off someone to go through with it (are there enough tables in the nation for all that money to pass under?).

If all the Republicans take your attitude, if all Republicans say “my candidate or I won’t vote” Hillary will win BIG. In my opinion any of the Republican candidates( except for Ron Paul ) is better than Hillary. I have a couple of candidates I like better than the others but I’m willing to support any Republican (except Ron Paul) against Hillary, period. When I think about what this country would be like under Hillary’s rule - I know for sure that even the most liberal Republican will be better.

Exactly. I have been dreading and awaiting a right-wing “third party” option to come along ever since I saw Hillary was definitely going to run. Splitting the right, or the right and middle, is the crucial strategy for her. She, like her husband, would never get a majority, but is definitely calculating enough to get around that.

Fortunately, the GOP are experts at surrender. They could give the French lessons.

Anyone who insists they won’t vote for Guliani is handing the election to hillary. Wake up, for your country’s sake.

The Dims will try to divide and conquer us. They will try to split the conservatives and the GOP and get us to bicker amongst ourselves. We must not let that happen.

Right !..But here is another consideration..The Reps need to send a message out to new voters and to Hispanic voters that we need their votes. And they need to come up with the right immigration bill that they can propose to the Hispanic voters. We knew this would happen 10 years ago but nothing was done by the Reps...0..Hillary is running a below the water line campaign to secure that huge bloc of Hispanic votes..That will be one key to winning in 2008...

Hillary should have Jimmah Carter on her ticket as VP. Brilliant!

Stopped reading at this point. I'm not interested in this writer's "opinion".

“the right immigration bill”

I will be interested in immigration legislation after the executive branch starts enforcing the legislation that has already been passed and signed into law. For example, the enforcement provisions of the 1986 amnesty bill. Or the laws regarding entry into our country. Or the law passed last year to build a border fence. As long as the President and his administration just make their own policy on borders and immigration irrespective of the law they swore to uphold, the legislative side is not of much consequence.

And I don’t see any gain in trying to pander to Hispanics on immigration law. On the other hand, we might gain support from them by nominating a Pro-Life candidate and letting that be a prominent topic.

Don’t try and talk logically with the “hate-Rudy” crowd. This is the same bunch that “punished” the republicans in the last election. Reality and pragmatism mean nothing to this bunch. They will see to it that Hillary gets elected and sacrifice all their principles for a couple of single minded tunnel vision hang ups.

The debate last week could be a watershed moment. Finally the scales have fallen off the MSM’s eyes and they see Hillary for what she really is, a calculating, two-faced liar. Maureen Dowd, Margaret Carlson and Kate Mielman have begun “piling on” Hillary as well.

I think the liberals may try to dump her before the nomination.

Some sickos who claim to be conservative actually want Hillary to win as a way to “punish” the GOP. I think that Pat Buchanan is one of those. He has been rooting for her and trying to give her campaign advice. He tried to break the GOP in 2000 with his “Reform Party” so he wants Hillary to do it now.

I agree. There is blood in the water after last week's debate. Unfortunately, Edwards and Obama are Lightweights.

I would like to see Hillary taken out in the primaries. No only would that lead to a Sweep by the Republicans next November, but it would also end the "Clinton Dynasty."
