GWU Student's Swastika Claim Unravels (Hate Crime Hoax)

A George Washington University student who told school officials that someone had drawn swastikas on her dormitory room door was responsible for the incidents, a university spokeswoman said yesterday.

These types of stunts do a lot of damage and create needless fear and paranoia.

Needless for who? The left absolutely needs fear and paranoia just to keep the victim class on the plantation.

I have heard about enough of these cases to guess that a huge majority of these “hate crimes” are perpetrated by a member, or members, of the very group that would seemingly appear to be the victim of such an act. I would say 80 percent or higher.

She was probably just being "fake but accurate" and just revealing the racist feelings that she knows must exist in her fellow students.

Maybe she takes after Kerri Dunn, the professor of psychology at Claremont McKenna College, who vandalized her own car and was later charged with misdemeanor filing a false police report about a hate crime and two felony counts of insurance fraud.

This type of thing seems to happen frequently enough I think we need a new hate crime statute that makes it a felony to commit hate crime fraud. It is, after all, a kind of terrorism by making "protected classes" fearful that such roving bands of ethnic supremacists or cleansers are in their community.

There was another nutjob at Iowa City, Iowa University about a decade ago who claimed racist grafitti was applied to his Mercedes, there was suitable outrage and candlelight vigils, at least until a local car shop offered that the alleged victim was shopping for a paint job the week prior. He quickly caved under police questioning, and as far as I know moved back to Cali or wherever.

The really sad thing is this kind of fraud is apparently fairly common and so tends to make people dismiss real live incidents. Another moron was caught sending out racist e-mails to herself and others at the same school. The computer science lab made real quick work of that!

What’s telling is that the penalties for “hate crime” fraud are not equal to genuine “hate crime”; which is all I need to know about “hate crime” legislation.

Very interesting. I received a mass e-mail from the Dean of my law school last week informing the students that a minority student had passed by “what can only be described as skinheads, wearing swastikas, and spewing racial epithets” in an apartment complex just off campus.

Now, this is a small, rural school, and a significant portion of my class lives in that complex. I have a hard time believing that no one else would have noticed a bunch of skinheads hanging around there before now, so needless to say, my BS sense started tingling.

This story makes me wonder even more.

Funny thing. When I was a boy, some jerks down the street spray painted a swastika on the wall in front of our house. This was in the 80s. It wasn’t a news story back then and we didn’t report it. I didn’t know for a fact exactly who did it, but I knew generally who did it. Just some mental midgets who by virtue of getting held back a grade or two were bigger than the other kids. Now they’re both cops. Go figure.
