Preaching the Good News and exercising their 1st Amendment Right to the free practice of their religion is now stealing, eh?

That GOOD NEWS does NOT say because of a 'church' name one can USE the name of God to go collect at the local welfare office as a religious right.

You sure do like to pick and choose which scripture that fits your gospel. We are NOT to be forced to be VEXED by illegals ..... LAWBREAKERS getting a pass USING God's Holy Name.

Where in the article does it state anything about "the local welfare office"? And how is the Church stealing when it publicly states it will not assist in what it views as an unjust or unwise law?

Will the rest of the conservative coalition ever understand that the social conservatives are not united with them on this issue, and that the APPROACH they are using is tearing the religious conservative coalition apart, and without them we can’t win?

I hold little hope that the purists and 100%ers will ever figure it out, or even care if they do. Better dead than red, after all.

This article says what it says. Do not be coy, of course the *CHURCH* will not admit to the advocacy of theft. You want my donation to house, feed, and educate a another then you come and knock on my door. DO not expect me to stay silent while you use the GOVERNMENT to fund and enlarge your church pews and claim it a first amendment right to practice a religion.

I read a letter sent to a politician from a member of his church, a good friend, who was livid about the attack on illegal immigrants. Not a Catholic church either.

Huckabee is getting support because HIS church is largely NOT on board with punishing the average illegal immigrant, but rather ministering to them.

Be pissed off about it all you want, it’s their mission, and they don’t like the tone of the attack on illegals.

And since the republicans NEED those people in order to win anything, you can either wise up and deal with it, or you can dismiss them, call them names, threaten them, and watch the democrats sweep the elections.

Because these religious people, they aren’t afraid of what man can do, even democrats. They serve God. And they won’t be cowed by threats or blackmail.

Ah, in other words you misspoke about "the local welfare office".

Keep in mind that it used to be perfectly legal in Germany to persecute anyone who was illegally harboring any illegally-breathing Jews.

You should attend some protestant churches, and ask them their view on illegal immigration. You might find that there are few that are to your liking.

NO I did NOT misspeak, WHO is paying for the health care, been to an emergency room lately???? WHO is funding the education of this massive illegal invasion????

This IS NOT GERMANY, I have the same Constitutional rights as YOU no matter what religion you practice. YOUR church does NOT trump my citizenship and my rights.

Your rights don’t come from your citizenship or your government. Your rights come from God, Who commands justice and mercy. Please take your beef up with Him.

That is correct my rights come from GOD and our very own Constitution was based upon that acknowledgment. See what you take for granted is that my rights as a citizen of this nation are protected by a Constitution with God as giver of rights that NOT even you or your church have authority to take. Justice is a legal term from which judgment comes. Mercy is a spiritual term that comes from justice.

I’m Catholic, I withheld money from the “Bishop’s Annual Appeal” for this reason. I would back them up against most government intrusion, not this. I hate to say this, but I think they’re motivated more by tithing then anything else.

There are Masses given in Vietnamese, too, at least in my area. Maybe more will decide that a language is much more important to them, too, than a mere Sacrament, eh?

Extorting money from tax-payers as a form of charity is NOT Christian.
