Mr. DeFreece says he wonders whether Sen. Obama would be able to aggressively push social programs that help blacks in poverty and end discrimination.

Color has nothing to do with it. It's the socialist pap like that coming out of his mouth that's the problem.

I married out of my faith. As far as my daughter is concerned I would have no problem if she married out of her faith, ethnicity or race. However, I would hope that my daughter marries someone that is honest, hardworking and devoted to his family.

I’m sure he was very liberal.

I never understood why Ann backed him except that she just kinda liked him and didn’t know Coker. Silly reason to back someone, but she sure did. I guess that’s the “charm” working for him. He’s quite a bit smarter than the rest of his family. (That’s saying something huh?)

Personally, I don’t mind listening to him debate. I don’t think i ever agreed with him on anything tho.

Another reason it made no sense to support Ford is that the Tennessee race could have determined the control of the Senate...the Republicans would still be in control if it weren't for a couple of thousand votes in Montana or a slightly larger number in Virginia. (If Allen hadn't been the target of such a determined effort by the Washington ComPost to take him down, or had handled the attacks better, he'd still be in the Senate...and could be the leading candidate for President.)

Barak HUSSEIN Obama colorblind?
He’s totally written off any “White” Heritage he has and is totally Afro-Centric. Has anyone ever seen the homepage of his “Church”? It (Unless it has been radically changed) totally identifies with “Black Culture” and “Black People” while not mentioning the Gospel of Jesus Christ one time.
These White leftists and other assorted naive Whites are delusional.

I found how the World had been misled by prostitute Writers,
to ascribe the greatest Exploits in War to Cowards,
the wisest Counsel to Fools,
Sincerity to Flatterers,
Roman Virtue to Betrayers of their Country,
Piety to Atheists,
Chastity to Sodomites,
Truth to Informers.

“Candidates such as Mr. Ford, who narrowly lost the Senate race in Tennessee last year, have often come close to election only to find race flaring at the last minute to blunt their momentum.”

Tennessee didnt reject Harold Ford Jr because he is black...

TN rejected Harold Ford Jr because he is a Ford and a Democrat...

Sounds like an OC congressperson, who re-registered as a Democrat, started using her Hispanic lastname, and even acquired an accent to get herself elected to the House of Reps.

In the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll1, Sen. Obama trails Sen. Clinton among black voters 46% to 37%.

Which is why anyone who thinks that there is a competitive Dem primary is nuts. Hillary is going to be the nominee.

Pretending there is a real race for the nomination gives the political pundits something to talk about, and gives the media a pretext for giving the ‘Rats a lot of free air time to spout class warfare, government solutions to all of our problems, surrender to the jihadists, and other themes beloved of the Democrat base.

Hillary is the least impressive Democratic candidate since Walter Mondale in 1984.

Mondale didn't have the "war room" and the Clinton crime syndicate to help him...and faced a much more formidable opponent than anyone who is in the race for the Republican nomination this time around.

If the Republican nominee in the debate were to make a crack about Hillary's "youth and inexperience," it would only be stretching it in the case of her age.

Hillary have never been truly battle tested. That is my point. And she is not charismatic like her husband is. Media is given Hillary a free ride. But people like us FReepers won’t give her a benefit of the doubt and that is one of our advantages of 2008.

Hillary should be able to slither to the nomination without much trouble--even if half the Democrat primary voters would prefer someone else, none of the other candidates has the resources to put together a victory.

In the general election, whoever the Republican nominee is, her strategy will be to destroy him rather than to try to show that she is better qualified. Each of the five who could potentially win the Republican nomination has vulnerabilities and the Clintons will exploit those to destroy whoever the nominee is.
