His rationale for signing the bill giving drivers' licenses to illegals is interesting:
RICHARDSON: Chris, four years ago, the legislature sent a bill to me and, at the request of my law enforcement leaders, I signed it, which allows licenses for undocumented workers. The reason I did this is because there's a failure of an immigration law in the Congress and the president. It's a matter for us in New Mexico of public safety, of safety on the roads. At the time that I signed the bill, 33 percent drivers were uninsured. Today it's 11 percent uninsured. This law has helped. It's a matter of public safety.
Now, I also have a responsibility as a governor, you know, when the federal government and the Congress don't act, to protect my citizens. That's the reason I did it, as a matter of public safety.

Did Richardson burst out laughing at inappropriate moments about serious questions?
Or does only Hillary do that?

As I recall, Richardson basically filibustered the interview, making sure his points were spoken and Chris Wallace’s were spoken over.
Not abnormal for the moonbat left today.

Richardson has all the leadership qualities and strength of character of a puddle of goo. The man simply is not in touch with what everyone else calls reality, as this transcript makes clear.

b.s. Public safety would be better improved by having illegals IN JAIL and/or back in Mexico.

Bill Richardson on his campaign site: “This wall is a horrendous example of Washington misguided policy. Congress only funded half of the wall. And in addition that, if you’re going to build a 12-foot wall, you know what’s going to happen? A lot of 13-foot ladders. This is a terrible symbol of America.”

Get that information out there
RICHARDSON: Well, first of all, I don't believe in UFOs. Secondly, I don't think there was any potential sightings. But the problem here, Chris, is like in many other cases, the federal government, instead of like releasing all the information when they had it and saying that this is all the documentation we have about those incidents in Roswell, never did it. So it causes enormous suspicion.
But the reality, really, is that in many cases the federal government, the Pentagon especially, should just release this information, all they have, just get it out there so the public can make up their minds.
Richardson may not be that bad after all. Here is seems to agree with us that Bill Clinton should open up all his Presidential papers to the American Public.
We shouldn't have enormous suspicion. They should just get it out there and let the public make up their minds.
What a great suggestion!
The War in Iraq
Richardson was out of his depth on this topic. Chris mopped the floor with him. What about all the success in Iraq? Ahhh... Why do you keep quoting a leader that hasn't been in charge for two years? Ahh... All Richardson could do is keep repeating that a diplomatic solution must be found. If it involved the U.N. taking over and Iran and Syria picking the place clean, that was a great idea. It sounded a lot like the concern people of his stripe had when Vietnam was surrendered. We'll drop it like a pot of hot boiling water and everything will be okay when it hit's the floor...
Pakistan
Grave concern all around. Musharraf is terrible. We need to hold elections right away. Bhutto should be given prominence.
If there's a defining moment when you know which way is right or wrong, just listen to a Democrat on the topic. You'll know what is wrong immediately and do just the opposit of what they advise.
Vice President
It's hard to argue against Richardson being the choice for V.P. As Ambassador to the United Nations, Bill drove Monica Lewinsky around looking for work. Such deveotion to duty is hard to find in today's labor market. What with all the good men like Vince Foster, Jerry Parks, Ron Brown and others dying off at an early age, you have to call on the good ones while they're still around.

Wait a minute! After appearing on FNC for YEARS, didn’t Richardson, a few months ago, state that he along with the other creepy dems would have no part of the network? What gives?
And thank God I didn’t see that flake today!

We should be saying to Musharraf very clearly, "We give you $10 billion since 9/11. Unless you have free elections and return to democracy, unless you go after Al Qaida in a determined and effective way, your conditional assistance may be terminated." For what it's worth, that is exactly what the current Administration is doing.

What an utter moron.
Yo Billy, Godfather of the North Korean Bomb, Richardson. Pakistan has nukes. We do NOT want those nukes in Islamic radicals hands. Also, if Pakistan falls, we are cut off from flying into Afghanistan so we have to pull out there.
Thus if Richardson was President at this time, he would magnify the Carter disaster with the Shah. His fundamental political ineptness would create an Afganistan-Iran-Pakistan Islamic radical block, a knife at the economic jugular of the West and a proxy state of the Chinese!
And he would create that disaster just to pander to the emotionally hysteric, rabidly ignorant moonbat fringe clowns of his political base. A Richardson Presidency would be so politically inept it would set back US strategic interests by decades and almost certain provoke a Pakistani-India war!
This guy is so not ready for the big league.

His rationale for signing the bill giving drivers' licenses to illegals is interesting Utterly amazing how these pro-illegal immigration folks tap dance around the issue. If all the illegals were deported, there would be no reason to have driver's licenses for them. Richardson has got to be one of the dullest knives in the drawer. I also found his responses to questions about Iraq down right comical. He completely ignores the successes and demands we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. What a moron!

The libs are amazing. In Pakistan where Bush has gotten some cooperation, the libs think we should be harder on them, take away their allowance and send them to their room without supper.
In Iran where they have been overtly attacking us in Iraq and threatening us and other democracies the libs think we should be friendlier to them and sit and talk nice-nice.
