The Washington Times ^ | November 12, 2007 | Editorial

These are difficult days for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other politicians who have staked their political futures on an American defeat in Iraq. In the past 10 days alone, the mainstream media has reported the new reality: that the changes in military strategy instituted by Gen. David Petraeus are resulting in major improvements in the security situation there.

The Democratic Party’s Iraq policy has failed.

So have the Democrat plans called the "New Deal", the "(not so)Great Society", Medicare, Medicaid, Social (in)Security, Welfare, Urban Housing, the "War on Poverty", the Publik Skool system, etc, etc, etc......dismal failures all....

First they want to withdraw because we lost, now they want to withdraw because we won.

So transparent, so intellectually dishonest

So have the Democrat plans ...

Maybe in the STATED goals, but in the real goal of transferring power from the citizen and individual states to the centralized, elite controlled state they have been very, very successful.

“pelosi’s surrender date...begging al qaida to hold on...”

the democrats are impatiently waiting to don their brown shirts. (they get to pin ribbons on the front for political courage, for correctness of thought, and lots of other heroic actions for the party.)

(heil hillary! !!!!)

Good point. The stated goals of the various Democrat "risky schemes" have long since slipped away, but the Dims have indeed been very successful at creating a dependent class by using wealth envy to pit one economic class against another. They've also been very successful at using race to keep certain groups of citizens dependent on the gubmint, while others fear that they might say the wrong thing and upset those "less fortunate." Sad, really when you think about it, while at the same time it's amazing that so many folks just don't realize, or don't want to realize, the tremendous opportunity that exists in this country. I really wish every American citizen could go to some of the 3rd world countries that I've been to and see the real, abject poverty. Americans don't have a clue what real poverty is.....and about half of the American population has no idea how lucky they are to be born in America.

"So transparent, so intellectually dishonest."

And yet their base eat it up with a knife and fork. "Thinking" and "liberalism" don't mix.

The Democratic Party’s Iraq policy has failed.

Just ordered a dozen bumper stickers for me and my friends.

IRAQ IS A SUCCESS

DEMOCRATS ARE THE FAILURES

(I'm serious. If everyone would spread this message out on the open roads, I believe the great American public would begin to absorb the truth)

Yeah, and it's not enough to just lose in Iraq and the WOT. It's disgusting to see their losing strategies on every front to gain political power, whether that be medical care, Socialist (in)Security, publik skools, you name it.

begging the enemy to hang on is a very good description.

The democrats are hell bent on “containment” and “mad”,

For the Democrat Party, victory is NOT an option.

Remember they want issues not solutions. The issue of conflict in the middleast/asian states is a source of contributions.

“Democratic” is an adjective.

Republicans believe in Democracy as well.

So the right description is the “Democrat Party”.

Minor distiction, but worth noting I think.

Love the bumper sticker by the way, where did you order them?

Best. Eddie01

These aging Hippies are seeing their worst nightmare, success by the US Military. They use our soldiers lives as political pawns and fundraising letters.

Pray for W and Our Victory Troops

The Democrats are running for the cliffs. There are no sane adults left to hold them back.

Hi — I ordered them from makestickers.com -—

For several months, I’ve had another sticker...

REPUBLICANS KEEP THE WORLD SAFE FOR DEMOCRACY

DEMOCRATS KEEP THE WORLD SAFE FOR THE TERRORISTS

I get a thumbs up all the time, sprinkled, of course, with some red-faced libs who try and pass me just to flip the bird.

I truly believe bumper stickers are key to the GOP/conservatives winning back the White House in ‘08.

If everyone who feel compassionate about keeping America strong (read - conservative President) would simply put an appropriate bumper sticker on their car, we could reach millions and millions.

Plus, it gives one a chance to strike up conversations all the time. And that’s how you can at least try and change minds.
