I watched a guy get tail slapped right in the small of his back while he was de-hooking a 7’ blacktip he pulled up on the beach last year. Can’t imagine getting tail slapped by this monster!

I need to see better pictures - it sure doesn’t look like 32 feet to me. I’ve seen a hammerhead shark that they had to bring in along the side of a boat and lift with a crane at the fishing rodeo in Gulfport, MS. years ago. It was huge, I tell you!

It says they measured it from the nose to the fin. The tail looks about ten feet tall to me, so that might explain why the length seems exaggerated.

Looks like a 12’-14’ maybe. Add another 8-9’for the tail height. 32’ from nose to fin “estimate”? Use a ruler!

It is believed that the california condor will sometimes (rarely though) reach 12' wingspan.

This from wikipedia:

California Condors' huge wingspan measures up to 2.9 m. (9½ feet), and they can weigh up to 10.4 kg. (23 pounds) There are reports of an adult bird weighing 11 to 15 kilograms, with a wingspan of 2.8 to 3.6 meters [citation needed]. The skin on the necks will vary in color, depending on the age of the birds. Adult birds' skin color can range from cream, pink, yellow, or even orange during breeding season.

Never mind that 510 kilo is about 1100, not 1200 lbs, but a 32-foot shark is going to weigh more than 510 kilo.
And that photo does not show a 32-ft shark unless they measured him nose to fin and back up again.

That's a thresher shark, not a "trasher" shark. Either it has two names or the author spelled it wrong.
