QUOTE(s) OF THE DAY
President's Radio Address
"Good morning. This week our Nation celebrated Thanksgiving. American families and friends gathered together to express gratitude for all that we have been given.
We give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy. We give thanks for the loved ones who enrich our lives. And we give thanks for the many gifts that come from this prosperous land. Thanksgiving is a time when we acknowledge that all of these things, and life itself, come not from the hand of man, but from Almighty God." * * *
(Not saying it's so, but a certain #1 talkshow host mentioned that he was going to "Wyoming" to see "friends." Just sayin' and wondering if it could be a certain VP .... ;)
* * *
The Annapolis Conference for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will take place November 26-28, 2007. Secretary Condoleezza Rice says "Arab nations must fully support peace talks."
* * * U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates will lead the American delegation to the 4th annual Gulf regional security summit known as the Manama Dialogue.
Delegations from 23 governments in the Gulf and around the world will attend the summit next month in the Bahraini capital, said a statement this week from its organizers, London-based think tank the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Thanks for stopping by. You will have lots of photos to post on Tuesday of the Annapolis Peace Talks...looking forward to it.
No photos today but did want to post the president’s message today. He returned early from his Thanksgiving weekend to prepare for these very important talks.
Thanks for posting those photos of the twins. I wanted to post more but do not have a lot of extra time these days, lol. Mr. D. is home now and is improving everyday and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks for asking.
Fantastic .. and thank God.
The spokesperson for the Israeli government interviewed by Wolf Blitzer today was exceptionally good. I hope we see more of her this week.
http://mirieisin.com/about.html
Miri Eisin, one of the very few female colonels in the IDF, has had a long and distinguished career in the military. During her career, Col. Eisin has served in various branches of intelligence in field posts, in the production department and as the assistant to the Director of Military Intelligence.
From April - May 2002, Col. Eisin was assigned as a special spokesperson of the Israeli government during Operation Defensive Shield. For the last two years, she has been at the forefront of presenting Israels case to the media, appearing on national and international news stations worldwide. She also participated in the Prime Ministers mission to Washington following Operation Defensive Shield in May 2002.
Col. Eisin holds a BA from Tel Aviv University in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies and a MA in Security Studies from Haifa University. In addition, she is a graduate of the Israeli National Defense College and the Staff College.
Although her education is listed as all Israeli, she speaks with a totally American accent. Wolfie could not make her say anything she did not want to say. He was very frustrated.
Thanks for that info and sharing about Wolfie. I missed the Sunday talk shows today so missed that.
Prayers for VP Cheney.
CNN just reported that he went to George Washington Hospital due to a lingering cough he’s had. During that examination, they discovered that he was experiencing atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).
I believe they said he returned to the White House for the Israel/Palestine talks for awhile apparently, and then returned to George Washington Hospital, where he will have an outpatient procedure to shock the heart back into normal rhythm. It is expected and hoped that he will be back at his residence tonight.
Shep Smith is talking about it now on FNC.

Very concerning.
The Cheney’s are in our prayers.
I LOVE your tagline.
Prayers up for our wonderful Veep and his family.
Prayers going up for our Vice President and his family.
This procedure is called a cardioversion and I am praying that it will work as described.
Thanks for the info...I am so glad I am not watching Shep...he is calling for him to resign..sigh..
Prayers up for the Vice President
I heard that. Shep is an idiot
GOD BLESS YOU VP CHENEY! God help Lynne and your family to have all their prayers, thoughts, and energies go toward your healing and not toward having to worry about your recovery.
THINK ABOUT FLY FISHING IN WYOMING SIR! YOU NEED TO HAVE MANY, MANY YEARS TO ENJOY THIS, AFTER THE WHITE HOUSE.
I would wager good money that Shep has "called in sick" more often than VP Cheney has.
I've had it for awhile. Thinking about changing it for December to: Santa called me a ho, three times.
*** ...am so glad I am not watching Shep...he is calling for him to resign..sigh..***
FDR was in his wheelchair during his presidency, and the MSM kept that fact hidden from the public; JFK was on a whole host of medications, and the media never mentioned it. But if our VP coughs or hiccups, they want him to retire.
