Statement by Fred Thompson on West Virginians for Life Endorsement
McLean, VA - Senator Thompson released the following statement today regarding the West Virginians for Life endorsement of his candidacy for President:
"I'm deeply appreciative for their endorsement," said Thompson. "In supporting me, those who have worked tirelessly to defend life are supporting a consistent conservative who has stood with them yesterday, who stands with them today, and will stand with them tomorrow."
Fred Thompson is pro-life. He believes in the sanctity of human life and that every life is worthy of respect. He had a 100% pro-life voting record in the Senate and believes Roe v. Wade was a bad decision that ought to be overturned. He consistently opposed federal funding to promote or pay for abortion and supported the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act, the Child Custody Protection Act, and President Reagan's Mexico City policy. While Fred Thompson supports adult stem cell research, he opposes embryonic stem cell research. He also opposes human cloning.
West Virginians for Life is the West Virginia state affiliate for the National Right to Life Committee

Excellent.
Love the tag also.
Actually had a professor who looked like Mussolini.
Ironically, he was one of the few conservatives on the faculty.

Some said the National Right to Life endorsement meant nothing and pointed to the fact that Fred did not get an immediate meteoric rise in the polls as evidence. But that endorsement was the gift that keeps on giving. It will slowly trickle through every state in the union gaining him more support from host of organizations and attention from millions of voters.
Go Fred!

I said it a couple of weeks ago, the effect of the NRTL endorsement will take at least 3 weeks and more than likely longer to hit.
All a part of Fredgames...

His surge has begun.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up winning Iowa.

This is good to see, as I am listening to O’Reilly snarking about Fred on Laura Ingraham right now.
He claims he has “tried to get Thompson on The Factor for six months, and I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what the former senator is doing.” He goes on to complain that he doesn’t know what Thompson is all about. And THEN Laura asks about his body language. “It showed he was angry. He didn’t look Wallace in the eye. He looked down, and that is never a good sign.”
Pfffft. O’Reilly is a toad sometimes.
Go, FRED, GO!!

Well I don’t know about that, but it is possible. I would settle for SC initially, because the rest is his after that. Mitt can’t get enough buy in after blowing his wad in those first states, plus he won’t have time to do the same thing to all the other 45 states.
What will be interesting in Iowa is seeing how deep commitment to Mitt is.
Are his current poll results from saturation or infatuation?
