"I seem to remember that Israel alone knocked out Iraq's nuclear facility and they're still waiting for the thank you card from the White House."
I guess you missed the thread posts where it was talked about we provided them the intel of the site and other vital information that allowed them to carry the strike out. Google will take you a few seconds. Many articles under "US assisted Israel Syria strike".

I believe JewishRighter is talking about the Israeli strike against Saddam’s reactor in June 1981, not the September 2006 strike against the facility in Syria.

Okay, then he needs to send the request for a thank you card to Ronald Reagan because that strike happened during his presidency not GW’s.

er, uh... I guess I should have put up whatever the code is for “rhetorical device”. I wasn’t actually asking for Israel to get the long awaited thank you for destroying the Iraqi nuke facility in ‘81. I was simply pointing out a historical example of where Israel demonstrated that she cannot rely on anyone, not even the USA, when it comes to existential threats. Sadly, I don’t think Ehud Inert has an iota of the stones that Menachem Begin had when it came to dealing with the savages that populate that part of the world.
As for the US role in the recent Syria case, I’m glad if they did and appreciate it, but I think it’s a long way from being an established fact (until we read it on the front page of the New York Slimes under the headline: “Bush Threatens Stability of the World By Helping Israel Destroy Syrian Baby Aspirin Plant-UN Security Council Calls for Ouster of US and Israel From Planet”)
