If Huckabee is the nominee, it will be President Hillary. It would be a general election slaughter. It appears that is the plan...

I would tend to agree . Thompson has a great message, but needs to polish his speaking skills to make the message come across a little better .

Twilight Zone. The religious right has gone mad!!!! They've simply joined the other groups who appear to be or started out 'conservative'....like the Chamber of Commerce, The Republican Party, etc. etc. Ralph Reid is a shining example of the 'religious right' gone purely political hack. Falwell was always out of his gourd.

I think Huckabee is in the cross-hairs of those in the "libertarian" mentality, within FR. I am not. I'm in the "classic liberal" and freedom-with-responsibility vein -- more like Madison and Lincoln than that Karl-Marx-reactionary lesbian from Russia, Rand -- so I don't slam the door on likely the most appealing, vote-getting candidate, Huckabee. I should have said Madison, Lincoln, and T. Roosevelt. I would be for Duncan Hunter, if he came across like a presidental candidate and could instruct and sell the public on the issues. He doesn't do that. And Tancredo comes across like a prankster.
I don't see another very TR-like candidate out there, except in bits and pieces.
I do see Huckabee and Romney, who can appeal and lead. Which of those two do you want?

we have one poster here on FR who starts all the FR threads.
He was all immigration all the time in 2005-06 then in early 07 he switches over to all pro-huckabee all the time.
The fix is in.
It will be NYC vs NYC or
Ark. vs Ark.
all liberals.

Absolutely Huckabee could beat Hitlery.
Bottom line, Huckabe is a likeable guy, Hitlery, not so likeable.
I love the way all of these yahoos come out on Freerepublic when they see that their candidate is losing ground to Huckabee.
To: spectre
I can't believe this guy is being taken seriously as a future president..Have we lost our friggin minds?!!! Boggles the mind, spectre! I can't even figure it out.

Mr. Perfect is finding himself in quite a quandary in dealing with the Huckster .
Mr. Perfect must figure out how to smear the Huckster without alienating the same people he’s been trying to fool for the past 2 years .
How does Mr. Perfect pull this off ? Perhaps by staying silent and hoping the other campaigns do the dirty work against the Huckster ?

Twilight Zone. The religious right has gone mad!!!! Don't you know Jesus is for open borders? 'Turn the other cheek' is going to work real well in the War on Radical Jihad!

“yahoos?” Have you not noticed that EVERY candidate has been taken apart? Huckabee has been under the radar and coasted to this point. Start pulling higher numbers and people will notice - the good AND the bad. If Huck’s supporters can’t put up with a little heat, I suggest they pull the covers over their heads and not emerge until election day.
for the record, I am still uncommitted. I have a list of those who have too many negatives to earn my vote, but none who have risen to the top. I do know that Huck’s tax-and-spend policies and his embracing illegals have put him solidly on the do not vote list.
At this rate, I’ll just end up with whomever is not crossed off.

but no GOP presidential nominee can win next November without them. And no GOP presidential nominee who supports higher taxes and illegal immigration will ever win next November. I will absolutely not vote republican if Huckabee manages to sneak his way to that nomination.

Absolutely Huckabee could beat Hitlery. The sun could rise in the west tomorrow, but don't hold your breath. Hitlery can only hope she could run for the Presidency against a lightweight like the Huckster. She'll have more dirt in his file ready to fling at him, she'll be measuring the White House for drapes the day after her nomination.
And if by any wild stretch of the imagination, the Huckster did actually beat Hitlery for the Presidency, what would you have in office? A nanny-stater Democrat with an (R) beside his name. Either way, conservatives lose.

I do not follow fake polls and I do not follow fake Conservatives.
The MSM and the socialist arm of the republican party want
Rudy, Romney, McCain or Huckabee so a Globalist Socialist
will be POTUS.
