I remember seeing him in the hallway during the Impeachment Dinner. He looked as though he would rather be anywhere but there.

Yes, I was there and shook his hand. Truly a man of great character doing the right thing inspite of the consequences. He will be missed.

“If you agree that perjury and obstruction of justice have been committed and yet you vote down the conviction ... you raise the most serious questions of whether the president is, in fact, subject to the law or whether we are beginning a restoration of the divine right of kings,”

RIP, even though he was a gun grabber.

Does Alec Baldwin have an alibi?

From his steadfast effort to end the holocaust against the unborn, to his efforts to aid those fighting for freedom in Central America, to his efforts to remove a perjurer from the Whitehouse he stood up for what was right.

This is sad news. I will miss the statesmanship of Henry Hyde. He was an endorser of Duncan Hunter.

Truer words were never spoken. It was a dangerous time. We all knew that a Republican president would have been hounded to death by the media. The fact they protected Clinton showed us that the media wanted the role of Kingmaker and Kingbreaker. Those who control the media can shape our destiny.

He was a very good man and a real fighter on the Right-to-Life issue. He always came across as highly intelligent, well-read, and someone you’d like to have a beer with in a Chicago bar. May he rest in peace.

I’m in shock.

May you rest in peace, Chairman Hyde. You are the standard against which all public servants should be measured.

God Bless Henry Hyde. This man had the stones to tell Hillary Clinton to shove her FBI files up her fat a— when she threatened to release information about an extra marital affair that Henry Hyde was involved in to the public and to try to ruin his marriage if he would not kowtow to the Clinton armtwisting. Henry Hyde stated that he had worked out those personal problems with his wife and he was willing to take the public heat. Public figures like him with that kind of courage are few. Another Republican Senator who was being blackmailed at the same time was Trent Lott, that’s another story.

He was the voice of the people during the Impeachment Trial of Clinton.

He served us well. The senate refused to listen but he was eloquent and could hold his head up high when he left the senate chamber.

RIP Henry. God Bless You.

I do hope God blessed Hyde with repentant, saving faith in Christ while he lived. His speech during The Nameless One’s impeachment was stirring; I doubt I’ll forget it. And the Hyde Amendment was a great legacy to leave.

Absolutely.

RIP Henry.

RIP! Henry Hyde was a great man who battled two of the great evils of our age: Abortion and the Clinton machine.
