CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Abortion Clinic Escorts in Austria, Sexually Abuse Praying Pro-Life Activists

VIENNA, Austria, November 30, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Video footage of abortion clinic escorts in the employ of Vienna abortionist Dr. Christian Fiala are so offensive that a local Bishop was stunned and is convinced that the case must be brought to state authorities. In the video, Dr. Fiala's staff can be clearly seen sexually abusing, humiliating and using grotesque intimidation tactics on pro-life activists who pray silently outside the abortuary.

The video shows abortion clinic escorts grabbing the genitals of male pro-life activists, undoing pant zippers, threatening to poke them in the eyes, sexually hugging them, making grotesque faces etc.  One clinic escort is seen on the video taking a wooden wedge and simulating sex with a female pro-lifer, pushing the wedge into her genital area.

Rather than crack down on such atrocities police look the other way, according to local pro-lifers.  Moreover, the Austrian Parliament is considering legislation to ban all pro-life activists from the public property outside abortion clinics, even if they are only praying silently. Dr. Fiala, the Director of the well-known Gynmed walk-in abortion clinics in Vienna and Salzburg is fighting for the ban.  According to Dr. Fiala, police officers are not allowed to take action against "those fanatic anti-abortion demonstrators, even when they "bother" women in a crisis situation." The video evidence has however given the lie to Dr. Fiala's claims and shown him to be the perpetrator rather than the victim of intimidation.

Salzburg Auxiliary Bishop Andreas Laun viewed the video and spoke with Gloria.tv about his reaction.  "I am horrified that this is possible in Austria," said Bishop Laun noting the brutality of the abortion clinic guards. The Bishop called the video a real eye-opener. "One can clearly see that they actually did such things," he said. The bishop is convinced that the events shown in the video should be investigated by State prosecutors.

That’s what would have happened here in America, too. As long as the pro-lifers just took the abuse passively, the press would ignore it. But if one pro-lifer were to punch one of the pro-aborts, the media here would be screaming that “women and their escorts” were being assaulted by pro-lifers.

When there are big pro-abortion or pro-homosexual rallies here, the media sanitize them and only show a few non-offensive signs or speeches. They edit out the massive vulgarity, the ugly anti-Christian posters, the public nudity, etc.

Well, I think you’re being a little hard on them. I understand your desire to fight back, and I share it. But with legislation pending to ban pro-lifers from protesting, it was obvious the pro-aborts here were trying to prod the pro-lifers into retaliation, knowing the media wouldn’t report it fairly.

sorry but this article is not telling the truth.
police in austria do not look the other way (not against pro-lifers nor against other groups if someone commits something illegal). first sexual abuse is illegal in austria. so police would have acted if they had seen this. the problem is this video do not show any police officers. so there was no police nor did they called it. (i´m shure if there would have been police around they would have showed this in this video.) so bash police for that is stupid. second there is no ban for demonstrations here in austria. and parlament do not consider a ban. do you really believe the parlament will hold a meeting to ban about 5 people from there right to meet in public or pray? it should be mentioned that this wouldn´t be possible under our laws even if they would want to (and they don´t want to ban anything).

i guess between austria and america there is a differnce on this one. our media would never pick up this story. (only if there had been massive violence) and then they would only report that violence has happened. you can be shure you would have seen nothing about pro-lifers or pro abortion people. not because media is ignorant but because
they know that most of the people would not be interessted in this story. there is no discussion on abortion going on in austria. 99% of the people here would have Zero interesst in this.
