Conservative principles are far more profound and deep seated that the whimsical issues of the day — like abortion, or how a vote was cast or not cast for impeachment. Those are temporary items.
Conservative principles last for centuries. They are commitment to family, marital fidelity, faith in God and seeking counsel from God.
There was McCain Feingold where he helped McCain disable the party. Of course, he regrets now.

Yeah and Reagan raised taxes when the dims agreed to cut spending for each dollar of new taxes... the dims lied... Reagan was sorry about that too. It did not mean Reagan was not CONSERVATIVE.

Thompson is OK with me, not ideal, but he will get my vote. I just don’t think he is TV material for the campaign. As ugly as the witch is inside she looks better on camera as long as her thighs aren’t shown. I just don’t know how to re-capture the glory days of Fred’s face, the face painting brings up some pink, but he needs staples like Pelosi. He sags. Reagan could pull off the young look into his eighties, Fred cannot.
At least Fred is not as white and ghostly as McCain.

The Republican Party was not disabled by McCain Feingold. It has been most severely damaged by Congressmen spending tax dollars like drunken sailors, and RINOs in both Houses not supporting the President when they should have on the War on Terror, and caving into Democrat demands in order to curry favor from the press.

It's not her looks that will turn folks against her, it's her Socialism and that whining screech of a voice that just gets WORSE when she talks louder during speeches. THAT will not favorably compare to Fred's Southern gentleman drawl.
