As the Council on American-Islamic Relations lobbies Congress to help strike its name from a list of co-conspirators in a federal terror case, WND has learned the Muslim group's ties to terrorism and extremism are far more extensive than first believed.
Although CAIR is a nonprofit organization, it does not disclose complete directories of its staff or advisory boards, and even refuses to make its federal tax filings readily available to the public.
But a review of federal criminal court documents, past IRS 990 tax records and Federal Election Commission records detailing donor occupations, reveals that Washington-based CAIR has been associated with a disturbing number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations.
"Their offices have been a turnstile for terrorists and their supporters," said one FBI veteran familiar with recent and ongoing cases involving CAIR officials.
As previously reported, three CAIR officials have been linked to terrorism. But WND has learned that at least 11 other CAIR officials have been caught up in terror investigations, bringing the total to 14.
Congressional leaders say they are warning lawmakers and other Washington officials to disassociate from the group due to its growing terror ties.
"Groups like CAIR have a proven record of senior officials being indicted and either imprisoned or deported from the United States," said U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., co-founder of the House Anti-Terrorism/Jihad Caucus.

Political Correctness, in the name of diversity and tolerance may well spell the demise of this grand experiment, I fear.
I’m not sure I’ve ever fully understood the pressing need that some feel, that we should somehow apologize for our political and economic success on the world stage. And, I certainly don’t understand why we should be compelled to accommodate the customs of other cultures.
We are a nation founded on Christian prinicples; economic, political, and personal freedom are the bedrock of our society. It’s time the world accommodate us, and our allies around the globe.
Stand Up, America. It is our birthright.
And, it starts by putting groups like this out of business. Put their leadership in jail or on planes back to whence they came. Tighten the borders, deport illegals and prosecute their enablers.
CAIR has done nothing to enhance this country or this society. They should not exist.

The gays have done that. Why can't the Jihadists? Make it impossible to criticize them. C'mon, guys, this is America. If you can't muzzle free speech in America, you're lawyers aren't any damn good at all. Call McCain's office, maybe he can give you some referrals.
You have, then, failed to comprehend the full horror of the communislamic/liberal agenda. This is not about ennobling other cultures or enfranchising the disenfranchised, or any of the other claptrap that they hide behind. This is about guilt and self-loathing, and the sense of moral superiority that such feelings imbue in those who carry those twin horrors around.
Rather than lift up the downtrodden, these people want to bring down those whom they believe have achieved prosperity, comfort, and security on the backs of others who did not have a choice in the matter. It is therefore these monsters' duty, honor and pleasure to use any means necessary to undermine that prosperity, comfort and security. They take a perverse joy in seeing the nation of their birth attacked by the rest of the world, saying, "Yes, we deserve that."
Until people start understanding that this struggle is about punishing the U.S., the greatest, freest, most benevolent country the world has ever seen, they will not fully grasp the scope and hideousness of the threat that is out there for us.
These people are here to replace the US Constitution with Sharia law...period. If all the PC people don't get there collective heads out of their collective a$$e$, we are doomed. Congress needs to wake up and fight back, and that means putting these clowns out of business and kicking their sorry butts back to the Mideast.
