There have been a number of FR threads on Debra Lafave. See below.

Here is one of the better pictures.

“No contact” sounds pretty unreasonable, given that she lacks the qualifications to work in most jobs open to responsible adults and would obviously have “contact” with anyone who works in the same setting as she does (and would not necessarily know if someone was 17 vs 18). “No contact outside the workplace” would be reasonable, but it seems like the court is saying “The condition is NO CONTACT, and though we have no objection to your ignoring that condition as long as it only involves discussing work related matters, we’ve decided that we object to your ignoring it re non-work-related conversation in the workplace, even of the type that all the employees there engage in”. The court should learn to write orders in a way that makes sense and that it intends to enforce specifically.

I actually do, and it is not friendly. I am known by the most powerful state employees in my state by the mere mention of my first name Fraser, is that you?

Land of the perpetually offended moral busybody. Explains the Huckabee "surge" pretty well, though. ;)

If that picture were a cartoon, it would have an empty "thought balloon" above her head.
She reminds me of a Golden Retriever: pretty, but mentally vacuous.

I’d love to hear a reputable psychologist explain that Rohrschach-of-a-top that she’s wearing.
That’s something I’d expect to only see on hard-core dopers in high school.
Or tenured professors at the university!

Beautiful.
And that crucifix pendant just makes the picture complete!
Judge, my client is too pretty to go to jail! And she's wearing
a crucifix, Your Honor!

"No contact" in this case would be interpreted as "no contact of a personal nature," which seems to be the nature of the violation in this case.
Work-related conversations are probably excluded from her parole conditions.
While I have not seen the actual set of parole conditions, I suspect that the restriction is stated in clear and absolute terms ... and Ms. Lafave violated same.
Is it "fair?" Well, I don't know ... it's not like she has a right to do what she wants: she's on parole, and she is required to abide by the restrictions of her parole -- all of them -- as a condition of staying out of jail.

And that crucifix pendant just makes the picture complete! She really didn't need to be wearing the crucifix heading to the courthouse.

I should have included a “/sarc” with my posting.
If I’d been the judge and a defendant shows up with a new crucifix and
their lawyer argues their client is “too pretty” to go to jail...
that’s when the gavel comes down and the punishment gets amped up!!!
(I’m pretty sure it was the Lafavre case in which the defense lawyer
agrued the “too pretty” aspect as a reason for no jail time)

No, I knew you had sarcasm in mind. That “pretty girl” defense was used here in a Central Texas case not long ago.

Let’s apply some common sense here. What we’re suggesting is that we fork out huge amounts of taxpayer $$$ to re-incarcerate this woman for conversation with a 17 yr old female at her job. I think that constitutes a complete waste of the taxpayer dollar.

Lets apply some common sense here. Yes, lets. You are advocating a subjective, situational assessment of parole violations based on ... well, whether the perp is a vapid-but-hot blonde?
She. Is. On. Parole. She has no right to violate her parole.
