Clinton County Chair In Iowa Is Asked To Step Down After Sending Anti-Muslim E-mail
Atlantic.com ^ | 12/5/07 | Marc Ambrinder

A county chair for Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign has been caught sending an e-mail casting aspersions on Sen. Barack Obama's religion, and today, the Clinton campaign asked the person, a volunteer, to leave the campaign.

A Dodd supporter in Iowa wrote about the e-mails on the Daily Kos site, and the Clinton campaign.

The ever vigilant Clinton web guru Peter Daou emailed a response:

There is no place in our campaign, or any campaign, for this kind of politics. A volunteer county coordinator made the mistake of forwarding an outrageous and offensive chain e-mail. This was wholly unauthorized and we were totally unaware of it. Let me be clear: No one should be engaging in this. We are asking this volunteer county coordinator to step down and are making it clear to every person involved in our campaign that this will not be tolerated.

“A county chair for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has been caught sending an e-mail casting aspersions on Sen. Barack Obama’s religion,”

Wait I thought he wasn’t muslim and that he only attended a muslim school.

Given the heritage of the Democrat Party, this kind of bigotry isn't too shocking.

I don't care if someone is a Hare Krishna, Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or a disciple of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, as long as they respect the Constitution and the principles of individual liberty, personal responsibility, and limited government which it embodies.

If someone wants to call themselves a Muslim while ignoring the intolerant parts of the Koran, that's no skin off my nose, just as it's no skin off my nose if someone who calls themselves Jewish is eating a cheeseburger or working on Saturday.

This isn’t an anti-muslim email. This is evidence of the Clinton campaign staff sending out the Obama emails.

If the political system known as Islam supports democracy, then we could repeal Islamic laws. But they are law because Mohammed said so.

When I saw the headline I thought it was going to be about the Republican chair. My inclination was to search out who it was and send them a congratulatory letter.

Seems it the RATS. That makes it better yet.

Well then you had better hope it is one of the peaceful muslims you vote for, cause if it is not you might get your head chopped off.

Strict Muslims think we should all die, their women should behave or submit to honor killings, their children must be taught to hate anyone who is not a muslim, etc.

Strict Jews don't want to blow my children to bits. I hardly think you made a good comparison.

Wow. Protesting about Muslim slurs AND identifying Obama as one when he says he isn’t. Getting to have cake and eat it too.

Islam and democracy the way we know it cannot co-exist.

That pretty much says it.

Hell, even Al Quada themselves have said it.

You'd be hard pressed if you went to the middle east and could find any muslim who would disagree.

That statement is factually correct.

Only if you are not a muslim. Or if you are a bad muslim. And by bad I mean nice to others.

If everyone would simply convert to Islam then the world could be at peace, don't you see?

"There is no place in our campaign, or any campaign, for this kind of politics."

She thinks she can control what politics is or isn't.

I swear she is a ravin' megalomaniac.

Even Dem constituants are concerned about the Muslim infrastructure in the USA.And the campaign worker was likely doing what Hillery ordered. His or Her mistake was in getting caught.

Again Hillery has put her foot in the shite pile. She is completely opposite to what the people want addressed: Border Security/illegal aliens and the economy.

Hillary is an aristocrat like so many running on both sides. They assume they have the widom to redefine public concern and push their ideas down our throats.Hillary along with all the rest should be humble enough to represent the people. She is NOT. SOme Republican candidates have the same problem.

Duncan Hunter does not have this problem.

What a horribly devisive president she would make.

Most religions have as a tenet, the concept of honesty. Muslims, OTOH, may lie, and when dealing with we non-believers, are REQUIRED TO LIE. How can we trust anything a muzzy says?
