Is this due to legislation or company policy though? I don’t know of a single mall anywhere that allows guns to be carried inside it, even where there are no laws forbidding such.
Some localities allow businesses to post themselves as ‘no guns allowed’. Funny how these murders tend to occur in these areas almost exclusively...SSZ
The malls in NH don’t have any postings prohibiting guns. Even so, as long as it’s legal, I don’t know how they could enforce it.
In Texas, a business has to post signs outside its premises stating that guns are banned. If there aren't any signs, it can be assumed that one has the right to carry a concealed weapon inside.
Unless you wear a gun strapped to your hip, if it concealed, how is the mall going to know?
None of the malls around here forbid concealed carry, and they do have the legal authority to do so. I think one did right when concealed carry became law, but took the signs down later after they received a lot of complaints and a considerable number of people took their business elsewhere.
No malls in Austin, Texas prohibit concealed carry. One did for awhile, way back in the beginning of concealed carry, but wised up and took down the signs.
If you have a CCW permit, you can carry concealed in a
mall, unless signage is posted by the Mall.
