It appears that we have positive identification of the rifle used in the Omaha Mall shooting. The pictures from Fox 42: Omaha show an ordinary SKS rifle with a fixed 10 round magazine. The same rifle that millions of people in the United States own for hunting and plinking. It is an acceptable deer rifle for most of the country.
There have been many reports of "assault rifle" used in the MSM, and reports of 30 round magazines. It appears that all of these reports are false, probably intended to stir up anti-gun sentiment before the election.
I don’t see what you see in this picture of him in the mall.
I see an arm, a roll of sweatshirt, and probably the shirt he used to hide the gun in hanging from his right hand.

Local news talked to a buddy of his; he said that he was on meds. I saw that posted on another thread, so I didn’t hear it first hand.

Kudos to John Gibson who, on his Fox show yesterday, refused to name the piece of garbage murderer. Apparently Gibson also refused to name the garbage on Thursday as well. I watched enough of limp wrist Shepherd Smith at 7:00 PM to see that he was not only going to name the murderer, but give the "sad" details of his "horrible" life. As an aside, ever since Smith stood outside the stadium in N.O. spreading the left wing lies about the circumstances there I have had no respect for him.

Something is not right. The surveillance pictures from the mall appear to show a different rifle than the one identified as being found next to the body in the Fox 42 news story.
Does any one have a contact with Fox 42 in Omaha to get an explanation?

Not the gun pictured above, unless he bought the after market modification for the detachable magazine the rifle pictured up top has the fixed 10 round when you buy them. Under his right arm you can just make out the shape of the 30 round magazine hanging from the one in the gun, also I don't see the bayonet on this picture. He may have taken it off to help conceal it, but like one the of the posts says above, when your at the muzzle end of the thing who cares which make it is?
