NAFTA Superhighway Mid Continental Corridor is under way
JOE HUGELIN ^ | 08 DECEMBER 2007 | THE CANADIAN

Posted on 12/08/2007 10:21:28 AM PST by Extremely Extreme Extremist

Two provinces, Manitoba through its Speech from the Throne, and Alberta, through a map of NAFTA Trade Corridors have provided strong evidence that there are plans for a NAFTA Superhighway, or Mid-Continent Trade Corridor. President Bush and Prime Minister Harper dismissed this idea after the Montebello meeting as comparable to planning an "interplanetary" superhighway or a scare tactic whereby a "conspiracy" is laid out.

There is no conspiracy. Plans are going forward. This question is as yet unanswered: does what now recognized as reality stands alone or is part of a wider plan? The one Former Mexican President Fox spoke of a as "a new vision", first NAFTA, then integration through the Security and Prosperity Partnership.

The American Presidential candidates are discussing the existence of what is contained in the Manitoba Speech from the Throne and the Albertan North American Trade Corridors map. Americans concerned about their country losing sovereignty in a North American Union are circulating YouTubes contrasting the reality of the Speech, and Map, to the words of those denying the Superhighways' existence.

Though our political system differs, Canadians will do well to watch the influence of these contributions from Canada as Americans select their next president. Will the person selected be following the denial policy of President Bush or charting a different course?

The mkap does not show the reach of the corridors to the Northwest Passage nor to Siberia.

Are you opposed to Interstate 5? Should it be ripped up?

And doesn’t all the blame for these highways really belong on President Eisenhower?

Eisenhower led a motorized Army crosscountry trek through darkest America as he demonstrated the need for improved roads, which led to the Interstate system. His convoy made 6 mph in some stretches.

“As if Gov. Rick Perry’s Trans Texas corridor isn’t enough of a lightning rod, it’s now sited as the evidence of the NAFTA super highway.”

“Ric Williamson, chairman of the Texas Transportation Comm. told Newsweek that he’d never heard of the NAU until people started asking him.”

Williamson quoted as saying “What the Hell are you talking about?”......”But if they were really creating a supercountry, would they tell us?”

I don’t know Ric, would they? Would you?

The goal is to eliminate ports of entry for commercial shipping into the US. All shipping will come through Mexico with its cheap labor and will be trucked into the US and Canada. The US role is to ensure the highway systems is open for such commerce.

US taxpayers will foot the bill to put more US workers out of jobs and will get lower prices in some cases.

The super highway, fills a gap where it was believed a new road was necessary. Existing interstates will provide the rest of the system.

If you have a friend or relative who's a young longshoreman, you might recommend that they go back to school.

If global warming is serious, there will be more agriculture in Canada as the north opens open to farming. Roads, housing, etc. will be built to accomodate that.

We should follow the example set by the old Soviet Union. We should not build any big roads, and we should hose up the maps so the invaders will not know where they are or where they are going. Just that map above tells the Chinese all they need to know to invade Canada from Mexico.

The goal is to eliminate ports of entry for commercial shipping into the US.

Quit being a goofball.

Look at the backlog of ships waiting for a dock at Long Beach or Los Angeles. They are maxxed out.

The goal is to open new harbors to get stuff we want shipped in and stuff we want shipped out.

It's nothing more sinister than that.

Then I’ll ask you.

Should we rip up Interstate 5?

Should we block all highways to the borders of Canada and Mexico?

Why do you hate highways?

That's what they said when the first Chinese ships showed up for the "new era" of trade between China and the US.

“Why do you hate highways?”

I don’t hate HWs., I hate highway planners and the agenda behind certain ones. I do not wish for Texas families to be put out and for Texas to be a steppingstone for a bunch of Chinese crap. Why did you leave Mexifornia?

The question of whether we need a new road is whether the current ones are getting overloaded. It’s not more complicated than that.

We’ve had roads going to the border since shortly after the first settlers arrived. This crazy notion that suddenly another one signals the end of our Republic is absurd.

How is the “NAFTA Highway” as the paranoids have been dubbing it, any different that Interstate 5? Why won’t anyone answer that question?

I left California because I got a job offer in Texas. It’s worked out well for me. Nothing sinister or political about it.

No! The goal is to use Mexican ports instead of U.S. ports where the labor costs are highter. Therefore, Mexicans can do jobs Americans will no longer have.
All thanks to “W” our bean eating version of Jimmy Carter.
Carter hates Jews and “W” just has a strong dislike for Americans who are doing jobs that Mexicans can do cheaper.
