Perhaps “Iggie” should think before posting, then. I find it somehwat surprising that (on FR of all places) I can be called a bigot for an ironic retort replete with ;) to drive the point home that it was a *joke*. And, yeah, I’m really pissed since tarring someone with that brush is beyond the pale when it’s not even remotely accurate.

“I took cover. I identified myself. I engaged him. I took him down,” the 42-year-old former law officer and volunteer church security guard said Monday at a news conference in the Colorado Springs police station. “I just said, ‘Holy Spirit, be with me.’ I wasn’t even shaking,” Assam said. “I give the credit to God. I say this very humbly. God was with me.”

Some good news:

[snip] ...The Golden Compass’ modest $26 million bow should be enough for those New Line studio executives to keep their day jobs... it’s going to take a robust performance during the holiday vacation to make up its $205 million negative cost... Even its $26 million bow couldn’t surpass last year’s numbers at this time. The box office’s top 12 was down close to 10 per cent compared to last weekend at this time when Disney unleashed Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto and Sony opened up the Cameron Diaz-Kate Winslet romantic comedy The Holiday... John Cusack’s Iraq drama Grace is Gone had a much more difficult time. The Weinstein Company flick bowed on four screens to $14,000 for an anemic $3,500 average, all but killing award recognition for the Sundance-acquired indie. [end]
Maybe he was just what we call in professional circles a loon.

The parents couldn’t have been that strict, the kid had weapons out the wahzoo... and where’d he get all those rounds?
He’res a story from a lazy reporter who didn’t take the time to ask Cherry Creek why they had no info after the third grade test, yet mentions his enrolling in a university. I guess since he was slamming the homeschool connection home, he didn’t notice.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said the “movers and shakers”. Their party elites are moving their sheeple blindly in a direction of their liking and it ain’t pretty.
Western newspapers are likely to have more information — the time difference means they have later deadlines. Newspapers have adapted to the 24-hour news cycle online, but a writer’s primary deadline is still the one to make the morning edition.
Thank you also for reminding me that God is very much in control and we as Christians need not worry.
I remember what my Mom told me when I was a small child - God will put nothing before you that He knows you cannot handle.
The fleece tactical beanies worn under the ACH are NOT called watch caps.
It’s amusing, sort of, that the MSM didn’t fail to mention he was “home-schooled”, which of course is a zip-file meme that once extracted, parses out to “nut-case religious whackos”. There’s never any editorial commentary with respect to public-schooled nutcases shooting up a mall/school/church however.
TM ping to #153. Please view incindiary’s video. It’s a good reminder of who’s really in charge.
Like I said...it is anecdotal evidence. But, I have known hundreds of physicians...and neuro's are in a class by themselves...
