If it takes that long. China has major dealings with Iranian oil and if we bomb Iran...

“As of Dec. 13, State Dept. is still standing by their official position that N. Korea has not engaged in terrorist activities since 1987.”

Very puzzling sentence since N.Korea didn’t become part of the Axis of Evil until 2002.

Nothing happens in NK without the PRC.

NK had been in the list of state-sponsors of terrorism long before it became the member of “Axis of Evil.”

Well I certainly hope that none of these terrorists were “waterboarded”.... death and destruction is one thing, but let us be sure that no bloodthirsty terrorist is ever made to feel uncomfortable.

As for sinking N. Korean ships carrying armaments, great idea, and why haven’t we been doing the same when North Korea sends missiles, etc. to Iran and Syria???

Umm, this is highly significant. Why hasn’t this been on the national news? /naive mode

Norinco uses soft steel. The lockup grooves on the barrel of my 1911 only lasted about 500 rounds. I switched to Colt and Para Ordinance.

Good for Sri Lanka.

This is an open secret.

The DPRK has been providing terrorist LTTE Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka with weapons/munitions/sea craft for a long time now. Hezbollah no doubt is also on the customer list.

There is evidence of DPRK weapons that were captured by the Sri Lankan goverment. I have seen photos of these weapons. They have North Korean markings.

In terms of other weapons and serious fire power, DPRK seems to be selling them 107mm Katyusha rockets fired from a lightweight tripod, a double tubed version only produced by the DPRK. It is rare, and weighs about 18kg and has a range of about 8km.

They will continue to provide this terrorist group these weapons.

This continues to make Kim Jong il's North Korea a de-facto "State Sponsor of Terrorism".

This, all the while Bush and Condi are actually working toward the end of REMOVING NORTH KOREA FROM THE U.S. TERROR LIST because most people in the USA are focused on Britney Spears or at best the Iowa caucuses. This indeed should be an issue in the caucuses. I would suspect DUNCAN HUNTER is one of a few men to do it. It SORELY needs to be done.

107mm Katyusha rockets

Have these rockets been also used in Sri Lanka by Tamil Tigers or only in Lebanon by Hizbullah?

one open source in 2007: Japanese conservative monthly magazine “SAPIO” several months back, with photos of such weapons/arms seized by Sri Lankan military, and markings and characteristics of weapons all consistent with manufacture by the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. the magazine ran the photos.

Thanks.

I bet State Dept. never heard of such photos, let alone see them. As far as they are concerned, they don’t exist.:-)

Indications of course are strong that DPRK is also arming Hezbollah, yes. I do not have specific stuff on whether these particular missiles are included--but I would say the preponderance of evidence would suggest so.

On thing is true is that the LTTE Tiger brought down a Sri Lankan Mi-24 "Hind" helicopter in 2000 in Sri Lanka, with the help of SAM missiles that were also apparantly supplied by North Korea.

Norkies also developing high speed water craft (using for example Japanese Yamaha or Johnson 200 engines), heavily armored, heavily armed, and sold to (who knows? jointly operated with?) the Tamil Tigers.... Kim Jong il--whom Mr. Bush sent a nice "letter" to earlier this week--has his greasy little fingerprints all OVER Sri Lanka and the terrorist network there....even today....and Bush/Condi are working to get him and his proliferous regime off "The List". Congress should look into it.At least Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson or Tom Tancredo should jump into this IMHO and shine the spotlight of scrutiny and brutal truth smack onto the deep, dark, nasty and hidden "monkey business" of Foggy Bottom and in the NSC these days.

Hey Tiger, did you also hear that the production shift from amphetamines (for shipment via yakuza to Japan to corrup the youth here) to counterfeit tobacco is being made in a number of the DPRK factories around the country??

Yes, I heard. So from now on, 50% of Marlboro's in the market would be "Made in N. Korea?" LOL!

Sure "State" knows of the photos. They will hope they do not get widely out there. Even if photos are burned, if the negatives are elsewhere, ol Foggy Bottom is up quite a creek. lol.

That would jam up their little ongoing plans for the US-DPRK Armistace for next year, but good, eh?
