Woeful 'This Week' For Hillary: 'Clinton Team Demoralized'
New York Times/NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Worst job in America this morning: Clinton campaign staffer assigned to inform Hillary of her treatment at the hands of ABC's "This Week" panel.

From moderator George Stephanopoulos to former Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile, to the husband-wife duo of Jay Carney of Time and Elaine Shipman of ABC, to conservative sage George Will, it was a decidedly downbeat take on Hillary's fortunes.

“We can not stand the idea of the Clintons getting back into the White House. It is our greatest fear, period. If Hillary loses the primaries, then that can’t happen.”

Think again. Consider the possibilities of a Clinton “vice-Presidency”...a word almost created for the Clintons, by the way... Remember, only one heartbeat from the Presidency sits the VP. And who’d bet on the survival of any Democrat President with Hillary as #2?

Love to see the Vegas odds on that one...

I want to know why, after 16 years of being treated with TLC, the major media outlets are not just talking about HRC’s flaws but prominently featuring them in newscasts and headlines. Very, very curious.

“WHAT? You claim 90% of people? WHAT people would they be? And as far as his name not being a problem, it is apparent, very apparent you haven’t talked to liberals about this. I live in a dense nest of them and believe me when I say they have NO confidence in HUSSEIN OBAMA getting many votes when the time comes to pull the lever.”

Oh I didn’t mean that literally about the 90%. I should have said the polls that the MSM will shove out there that will show the nation unable to contain their excitement to vote for Obama. The polls of course will be bogus, but bogus polls is all part of their propaganda effort.

I do hope you’re right about the lefties not being to up on Obama.

They will not allow a single negative story to be published on him and anyone that is critical of him at any level will be called a racist.

Could be, but if we look back on history, the only thing the KKK was missing on it's emblem was a donkey.

Al Gore's father lead the democrats in the fight to destroy the equal rights amendment.

Robert Byrd - Senior democrat senator and Grand Dragon of the KKK.

Really, if racism is a factor in this election, it's going to come from the democrats.

An unjust attack on Republicans on the matter of race will see a backlash so large it could destroy the race pimps in one fell swoop. I'd like to see that personally.

"We don't hate Obama because he's a mulatto who won't acknowledge he's half white. We reject him because he's a socialist who wants to enslave all races with socialist tyranny, not just the black man."

Believe me, those of us who see only content of character over color will win that battle. The race pimps need to be run out of this nation once and for all. My children are moreno and I will not accept the threat of democrat racial tyranny to corrupt their future.

Her experience, that is, where you can point to some episode between '93 and 2001 where she clearly was in charge, one was selecting the first Attorney General, which was a train wreck, exceeded only by the train wreck of the health care plan.

It IS kind of funny when someone with a zero batting average points out she has more experience than the rookie.

BONUS COVERAGE: WILL'S WITHERING HUCK HACK

Don't mark George Will down as "undecided" on Mike Huckabee. The veteran conservative pundit made clear he'd be at wit's end if the GOP were to nominate the former Arkansas governor.

WILL: Huckabee, this week, when it was learned he that he gave more clemencies -- one every four days -- to convicted criminals in Arkansas than the three preceding governors combined, including Bill Clinton.

This week, also we learned, he goes to New Hampshire, the New Hampshire affiliate of the National Education Association [teachers' union], which is the most loyal Democratic constituency, which in 2004 endorsed Dean on the Democratic side and no one on the Republican side, this week endorsed Huckabee on the Republican side out of gratitude for his: a. support for higher taxes, which public employees usually like, and b. his opposition to school choice. If that man is nominated!

So while some of you are having just a great time on Hillary's troubles, I hope you guys have a plan B when it comes to Obama. And making fun of his middle name isn't a plan B. 2

Hillary is a dangerous Saul Alinsky disciple--she has the determination and skills to wreck the country in a way that may be beyond repair.

Obama is a harmless bumbler by comparison.

He misspeaks constantly, has never had a tough national campaign, and then there is that _other_ thing that really shouldn't matter but _does_ (and I am not talking about his drug use).

Obama's other problem is the Clintons. If he won their glory days in politics would be over--and Hillary will seek revenge. The Clintons will subvert him in hundreds in ways that he will not understand, much less be able to combat.

The country could survive an Obama presidency in the unlikely event that he actually won.

I think that's it in a nutshell.

Hillary is Stalin part II. The Republic will never recover if she's sworn in.

An Obama prez would suffer from enough splinter constituencies that he could please them all and offset the minority Republicans enough to get anything but minor changes enacted.

He doesn't have the FBI files he would need to twist enough arms.

The Clintons are very vengeful people. If Obama were to beat Hillary in the primary, the Clintons would do everything they could to have Obama beat in the general just so they could tell everyone “see we told you so”. Remember its all about them.

I wholeheartedly agree. If you have a chance to take the queen early in the game, you do it. Trusting the republican regulars to time her descent to best advantage ignores their lousy track record at such things, and ignores the role of unforeseen circumstance. Very risky business.
