Hmm, “Do you know who I AM?” didn’t work too well.

I presume this means that Congressman Visclosky will soon be announcing that he is now a Conservative?

What is the old adage...A Democrat who is mugged is soon to be a Republican?

Missed this the first time:
""It's an unfortunate situation that happens about this time of year because of the holiday," said Merrillville Town Council President Sean Pettit."
Any guess as to party affiliation?

Hopefully it was a Democrat who got robbed since, as the saying goes, a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged.

Visclosky did not believe the robber realized who he was.
Guess he didnt have his pin on. They used the dogs to find the theif if it were you or me they would have just filled out a report sna said sorry.

In THIS case, the party affiliation isn’t mentioned at all - therefore, a Democrat.
I doubt this one will turn conservative after the mugging, though...

I have a somewhat similar feeling about April 15 every year.

But he described the experience, which lasted less than a minute, as "terrifying." Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey used the same words.

It's an unfortunate situation that happens about this time of year because of the holiday," said Merrillville Town Council President Sean Pettit. Yeah, celebrating Christmas is the cause of a lot of problems. Maybe it should be cancelled, and these types of problems would go away. - Tom

I could tell right away that the congressman was a Dem. He commented that the event was "terrifying".
If it were a Republican making a comment it would be, "As he was running away with my money, I pulled my pistol out of the glove compartment. My condolences to his family."

If the beloved gentleman REALLY believed in the 2nd Ammendment, and HAD a LEGAL conceal/carry permit, and was carrying, this might just not of turned out the way it did!!
Btw, what are Indiana’s conceal/carry laws?!

Too bad, but if he “never saw it coming,” I’m guessing he needs to pay more attention to his surroundings when he’s alone in a parking lot after dark getting ready to open his car.
And how about, instead of “thinking” maybe the robber didn’t know who you are, just admitting there is no way in he!! he knew OR cared who you are?

Hey, it was the fault of the local police. The police failed to protect and preserve the assumed liberal Utopia. I bet that in a few days you will see Visclosky lobbying publicly for a federal grant to beef up the Merrillville town police force with additional officers and cruisers.
I hope they catch the guy and discover an illegal alien.

What he didn't tell you was this was the conversation:
Visclosky: Don't you know who I am?
Robber: Yes, I do! You are Congressman Peter Visclosky. You have been robbing me and my family for the last 24 years. I just want you to see how it feels.
