Hillary’s Dean Moment – Not the Scream, But Building…
National Review Online ^ | 17 December 2007 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 12/17/2007 5:09:24 PM PST by COBOL2Java

Sometimes we forget that before Howard Dean’s infamous “YEARRRGH!” moment, there were a bunch of signs that he was hitting the skids beforehand. First there were a couple of brusque debate moments – I remember Peggy Noonan comparing him to a teapot that looked ready to boil over. But the other big warning sign came when a guy at an Iowa town hall meeting asked for less negative campaigning and a Biblical teaching of “love thy neighbor”, and Dean gruffly snapped to a “George Bush is not my neighbor.” When the questioner interrupted Dean, he shouted, “You sit down! You had your say, and now I'm going to have my say."

It wasn’t “Iowa friendly.”

It wasn’t a total meltdown, but Hillary Clinton’s interview with NBC’s David Gregory this morning might be another one of those red-flag moments. The guys at NewsBusters have a transcript and video highlights.

I understand Hillary's urge to emphasize the Des Moines Register endorsement, but she returns to it robotically, and just refuses to acknowledge Gregory’s question about recent lines of attack on Obama.

I guess the reaction to this exchange will come down to whether you think it's legitimate to ask Hillary about her husband saying that electing Obama is a “crapshoot.” Gregory tries to get some specifics, on what makes Obama so risky, and she just keeps ignoring it, and saying “You get change through hard work.” There’s quite a bit of crosstalk, and after the fourth or fifth invoking of the endorsement, if it were in person, one wonders if she would whack Gregory with a rolled up Des Moines Register newspaper, and say, “Read it! Read it!”

I suspect that mext year, if Hillary’s president, David Gregory is going to be the first taxpayer to get daily audits.

Thanks C2J. That video is great. She can’t stand up to the slightest questioning. Wow. She is going nowhere in the general with that effort.

Regards

She uses the 'cackle' again, even in this interview, though not as loudly or strongly as in recent weeks.

Someone with far better computer skills then I, should do a morph, Hillary cackling continuously morphing into the Wicked Witch of the West with her cackle.

But keep it short, please!!

Great. I followed a link on the linked site, something about an extremely bad Hillary cackle. I turned it down real low, and guess what happens? It terrifies my two poor little dogs. I ran outside to check and see if someone was mosing around the house, they were so yappy. Interesting response, especially since animals are more attuned to humans at recognizing disasters. Antichrist? :)

She thinks voters can make up their own minds, she invites it, she welcomes it. She feels great, everything is wonderful, touch and feel. She’s got a big job to do and she’s doing it. She invites it, she welcomes it.

Hillary sailed into her senate seat with virtually no hard questions or scrutiny.

She’s not going to be able to do that with this race. But mark my words, heads are gonna roll if she doesn’t get the nomination. She doesn’t handle rejection very well I’d guess.

She said she was not going to let the press decide, but was going to let the people decide, then immediately reiterated that “the Des Moines Press says...” hellOOOOO

What she meant was that she was going to let the dead people decide.

A few points:

#1, She keeps claiming to have experience.... Experience at what? What did she do in her husband's administration? Watch over his shoulder as he screwed America... and most women he could get alone with?

Remember, Hillary does NOT have experience. She and her husband WERE the experience. Now she wants us to repeat that experience!

#2, She want's us to think it's a big thing that she makes decisions every day.

So did Ken Lay, Jimmy Carter and the Edsel designers.

#3, Anyone notice that the blond in the right side of the frame looks like Linda Tripp?

I saw the video earlier today and it amazes me that she won’t answer the simplist of questions. Even in the debate when asked about liscenses for illegals she flubbed it badly.

This is not brain surgery Hillary, just be honest and be yourself. Damn’d for sure if she takes that advice.

She cackles every time someone throws her a negative question. I think the cackles come every time she makes a mental note on who she will try to take down.

Maybe Gregory should have asked her in French. I understand he likes to do that.

Well, you expect the impossible. Think about it.

It’s a witch cackle. Normal women don’t usually do that, and certainly not 4 or 5 times in one day.

It sounds like Ursula the Octopus witch, in “The Little Mermaid.”
