Well, I agree with you all on your choices, but I thought you meant actual "FR" Person of the Year, and in that case, I would nominate snugs!

General David PetraeusI concur! Lord willing, it seems like President Bush has finally found his "Grant" in Petraeus.

If I would have said "Ron Paul," it would have been Removed by Moderator,And rightly so, for atrocious grammar!

Fred is one of my two leading choices for my primary vote...Mitt is the other. But I wouldn't consider him a POY for merely getting in the race. :) Those other three guys have been "in the game" fighting for freedom.
I'll be glad to put F. Dalton there in 2009, though...after he has been in the White House a few months.

Wisely, Time Magazine did have the American Soldier be the "POY" a few years ago. That was a choice with which I could agree.

I nominate icwhatudo.Good one, but I'd go with Allegra for her first hand reasoned accounts of action on the ground in Iraq. A close second would be jveritas because of the work horse attitude on the Iraqi translations.

Jindal is a good choice for consideration. Winning 53% of the vote in Louisiana, right? And the closest RAT got like 12%?
Gee, the LameStream Press really shut the clamp down on THAT STORY, didn't they?
