This is a classy but proactive statment by Rep. King who makes it clear he believes Fred is the best man in this race and that he does not support his friend Tom Tancredo in his decision to endorse Romney.

IMO, they’ve both gone off the rails on this one.

The rumor is that Mitt paid off Tom’s Campaign debt.

Tancredo is simply jumping on the horse most likely to win and who has spelled out his anti-illegal immigration plan explicitly and succintly.

This is a classy but proactive statment by Rep. King who makes it clear he believes Fred is the best man in this race and that he does not support his friend Tom Tancredo in his decision to endorse Romney.

This is the same Fred Thompson who supported title X that was based on the false premise of man made Global Warming. Below are a passage from the bill and a passage of his remarks about the bill.

DIVISION D--INTEGRATION OF ENERGY POLICY AND CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY TITLE X--CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY FORMULATION

Subtitle A--Global Warming SEC. 1001. SENSE OF CONGRESS ON GLOBAL WARMING.

(a) FINDINGS. The Congress makes the following findings:

(1) Evidence continues to build that increases in atmospheric concentrations of man-made greenhouse gases are contributing to global climate change.

(2) The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has concluded that ``there is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities'' and that the Earth's average temperature can be expected to rise between 2.5 and 10.4 degrees Fahrenheit in this century.

Thompson's remarks:

I would like to thank my colleagues for their statements and indicate my support for the agreement that we have reached with regard to Title X. A lot of hard work has gone into this agreement. It is my belief that there are still many uncertainties with regard to climate change. However, I also believe that the potential risks of climate change warrant study, research and technological development. This substitute to Title X goes a long way towards achieving those goals. This amendment also recognizes that there are many contributors to climate change beyond CO2, and I appreciate that black soot is included.

Fred isn't nearly as Conservative as he wishes everyone to believe

What a classy way for Rep. King to handle this and given the enormous amount of respect the conservatives and general voting populace of Iowa have for this man, I sincerely believe that his support of Fred will have a major impact on the outcome come caucus day!

Why exactly does Fred deserve Tancredo’s endorsement. Before this primary season there is no evidence that Fred was strongly against illegals as he claims now to be.

Tancredo could have endorsed Hunter, but maybe he did’nt do that because he wanted to endorse a front runner.

Tancredo was offered a cabinet slot... this is what I believe... he is NOT the man that I thought he was. 2007 has been a year of seeing through many phony Conservatives... power above principle... if they had principle to begin with.

It’s scary to see how little interest our government, both Congress and The President, have in protecting our borders and enforcing law. If Tom Tancredo hadn’t effectively shouted about it, it would be like Holocaust Denial.

Now that Tom isn’t running, we’re sinking back down into Clintonesque Invasion Denial.
