Israel is an ally who is fighting the same enemy we are.

I would think the answer is obvious...

I dunno, but I’m pretty certain that Israel is not at all helped by America’s continued financing and lending of legitimacy to Israel’s (and, long term, America’s) greatest enemy - the United Nations.

Because we are under a mutual defense treaty with Israel (signed in 1976 I believe) and the Constitution states that a treaty we sign is high law. If you don’t want to support Israel, you must Constitutionally break that treaty, through congressional action. Until then, the treaty is law.

“The Associated Press reports that while campaigning in New Hampshire yesterday, Congressman Ron Paul said that if he is elected president he will end economic sanctions on Iran and withdraw the U.S. Navy from nearby waters.”

What a friggin’ lunatic. I blip on the furuno radar.

And why should our government declare solidarity (whatever that means) with Israel?

You're right. We should abandon the only western democracy in the Middle East and support the Islamofacist regimes... /sarcasm

“Paul is not even qualified to sit in Congress, never mind the Presidency.”

How did this wackjob get elected? The peyote must be cheap down there.

In addition to the previous statement, we are also co-signers of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide treaty of 1951, and being Constitutionally obligated to honor treaties, we are legally obligated to condemn and prevent statements and actions that could result in new actions of genocide.

sounds like a hint of nazism,...and defeatism,....and isolationist.

I’m not for really occupying anyone. I say we go in, kick a**, and then back out with a warning. But I’m sure as heck not for pulling everything back to border. Our nation has business interests throughout the world, and that economy keeps our nation going.

He is.....I’m at a lost for words. I guess anything can float to the top in an election, especially in a toilet.

This douchebag accepted thousands of dollars to speak at a Moonie event and he can’t remember the name of the band “Rage Against The Machine”. That’s someone I’ll take seriously.

I asked this previously, but no Paulestinian answered.

Didn’t that NIE state that Iran stopped their nuclear program because of international pressure? If the NIE is true, it would mean sanctions have worked and are a good alternative to military action.

If Paul was President instead of Bush, there would have been no sanctions, pressure or threats of military action; a President Paul would have allowed Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.

Cause Israel is our friend...

Oh please.

There are no friends between countries, only mutual interests.

Which is why friends don't spy on each other, but countries do.

“If Paul was President instead of Bush, there would have been no sanctions, pressure or threats of military action;”

If Paul was President,...it would truly be the beginning of the end of american civilization, and I don’t think a whole lot of people want that right now, except for his multiple personalities that are giving him subconscious advice.

RP: “Take that Back.”
RP: “Yeah, what he said!”

There are lots of Holocaust deniers. Why is it the job of the US Congress to condemn them?

True, but since they did it anyway, it is very telling that Ronnie voted not to do so. If he wanted to make a statement about not doing this kind of thing, he should have not shown up for the vote.

him trying to explain that its our fault the jihadist hate us

For decades we interfered with the politics and conflicts in that region because of our commercial need for ever more oil, when we should have become energy independent instead.

Most countries, but there is always an exception. And Israel is the exception that proves the rule. I would also add in that England and the Aussies fit nicely in that same camp as well. Granted things can change over time, but England and Australia have been in our camp for the last 100 years at least with Israel since its inception.

“You can always tell when Ron Paul is on to something by the way his enemies get all worked up over it, and then post frenzied comments against him here.”

YEs Ron Paul will be attacked because Ron Paul is a dangerous man to put into a position of power. His foreign policy is unserious in a serious time. The fact that many of his domestic policies are shared by many here, including myself, is completely trumped by his anti-war moonbattery.

We will not abandon Operation Iraqi freedom, and we will not abandon the people of Iraq to genocide. We will not abandon the military and intelligence operation under way in 60 countries at present. We will carry the fight to Islamo-nazis, and we will not hide in a fantasy “fortress America” as Ron Paul would have us do.

Get used to those sentiments, they aren’t going away. Ron Paul supporters are cultists, and Ron Paul is to conservatives what Jim Jones was to Christians.

So yes, we despise Ron Paul, and we support the US military, and the basic tenets of US foreign policy, which have been in place for almost century.
