The GOP is in the minority BUt they caused more damage to the anti American Dems and libs that previosuly imagined.

They went home happier than they have been in 11 years because they were so glad to get away from the cesspool Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi created in DC. How happy would you be to get away from the viciousness, rancor, namecalling and Democrat lies heaped on you every day? Heck, I’d be skipping out of town whistling a tune...

The Republicans in congress are just a natural minority team. They were almost as destructive is the dims as far as spending is concerned when they ran the place. They were just as greedy and corrupt as the dims. If anything, the past year has been a billboard for divided government.
Tell that to the 300 Spartans or the Defenders of the Alamo. ;) The 2006 Dem "victory" has been a blessing in disguise. The Dems hollow rhetoric and uselesness has been exposed to the liberals, and the Dems true evil and vice have been exposed to the American people. They are more than us, but they are weaker.

Unfortunately the GOP did not know how to be the majority. Gridlock is better than the crap that went on when the GOP was in the majority.

Some Republican politicians may vaguely feel that specific things the Democrats want are wrong but the Republicans do not see how these specific things fit in a broader context so the Republicans do not consistently or coherently oppose these things or present an alternative. The left, on the other hand, takes seemingly conflicting things (the homosexual agenda, aiding IslamoFascists) and makes them work together in a grand Marxist strategy to weaken or deconstruct America. The "moderate" Republicans are especially clueless. They are playing checkers while the Marxists are playing chess.

The Democrats are driven by their Marxist visions to work against the USA every waking moment of every working day while most Republicans are too stupid to be able to pick their own noses without a users’ guide.

There was an AP story today about Harry Reid whining that Republicans stymied their agenda - as if the Dems hadn’t spent the previous six years trying to stymie Republicans. Judicial filibusters, anyone? We didn’t need to filibuster because we had Bush’s veto pen. But the objective of the minority party has evolved to become “slash and burn the opposition party’s agenda”. If you can’t take the heat, Harry, get out of the Senate.
