The message: Merry Christmas, go home
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ^ | 23 dec 07

It would be best for this nation and for Mexico and other major contributing countries if the United States did not have illegal immigration.

The reasons are simple.

It creates an underclass that is in constant fear of discovery and deportation to countries that do not offer enough life-sustaining incomes or opportunities for them and their children. They exist this way here though their labors are needed.

This is not humane.

For donor countries, illegal immigration creates a safety valve that, even as it alleviates current pressures, deprives these countries of some of their most intrepid residents and conspires against urgency in addressing the economic distress from which their citizens are fleeing.

This isn't smart.

“A recent poll by the Pew Hispanic Center showed that more than half of all Latino adults in the U.S. worry about deportation for family and friends.”

I can’t imagine why! Jorge Bush has seen to it that they are quite safe, with a full panoply of social services available to them to further the reconquista.

“The solution, however, is to regularize the flow necessary for a functioning and competitive U.S. economy - and do it legally. That means a guest worker program, adjustments on quotas, elimination of shameful backlogs and a means to legalize the existence of illegal immigrants already here.”

Guest workers! Great idea! It worked soooo well in now Mohammedan Al Deutschland.

They're so afraid, they've been forced to take to the streets waving flags and giving tear jerking interviews to the national media.

It creates an underclass

This is the reason our politicians and the elite of this country WANT illegal immigration.

Why Mexican illegals are driving America "cuckoo"

Why doesn't Mexico take care of its own people? Why don't the ultra-wealthy Mexican elites help to pay for the health care and education etc of their own poor? Why do they instead encourage their poor to leave Mexico and invade the United States? Nature provides a parallel that is instructive.

Some species of birds thrive not by carefully rearing their own young, but by pawning that task off on adults of other species. The European Cuckoo, whose distinctive call is immortalized in the sound of the "cuckoo clock," is the bird in which this habit has been most thoroughly studied. Female European Cuckoos lay their eggs only in the nests of other species of birds. A cuckoo egg usually closely mimics the eggs of the host (one of whose eggs is often removed by the cuckoo).

The host may recognize the intruding egg and abandon the nest, or it may incubate and hatch the cuckoo egg. Shortly after hatching, the young European Cuckoo, using a scoop-like depression on its back, instinctively shoves over the edge of the nest any solid object that it contacts. With the disappearance of their eggs and rightful young, the foster parents are free to devote all of their care to the young cuckoo. Frequently this is an awesome task, since the cuckoo chick often grows much larger than the host adults long before it can care for itself. One of the tragicomic scenes in nature is a pair of small foster parents working like Sisyphus to keep up with the voracious appetite of an outsized young cuckoo.

The folks coming up here are dark skinned, mostly Indian Mestizo. The elites in those couuntries are mostly white- take a good look at Vicente Fox. They’re exporting their race problem.

I have no problem at all with a controllable and articulate guest worker program. But that requires we know who those guests are, and what they will be contributing to America, and that they will not be a drain on our institutions and infrastructures. But the author’s added demand that we legalize (i.e., reward) all the illegals (lawbreakers) that are already here is NOT the answer (the answer is to kick them out and let them apply for entry, like my mother and all the other legal immigrants who respected our laws and customs had to do).

I want someone to tell me what laws I can break that, not only will I not be punished for breaking, but will be rewarded for breaking, as well.

Alas, I am an American, born and bred. A veteran. A tax payer. I therefore do not fit the profile for reward. I do, though, fit the profile of someone to be fleeced and used and then ignored. Just like my other fellow Americans.

The sh!t is going to hit the fan one of these days, because like so many others, I am fed up with this crap.

From the article:
Inaction by Congress has caused a bevy of municipalities and states to try to fill the gap - badly. Arizona, for instance, will have a law go into effect on Jan. 1 that severely punishes businesses that knowingly hire illegal immigrants.

Arizona's foolishness is a microcosm for the nation's. It's difficult to name a state that owes its prosperity to immigrant labor more than Arizona.

Yes, illegal immigration is bad. The solution, however, is to regularize the flow necessary for a functioning and competitive U.S. economy - and do it legally. That means a guest worker program, adjustments on quotas, elimination of shameful backlogs and a means to legalize the existence of illegal immigrants already here.

A link to an article on the Arizona crackdown has already been posted on this thread.

But, check this out: Arizona crackdown driving out illegal immigrants. Offering proof the illegals will self deport if we take away their motivation (a job) for illegally coming here.

As for the naysayers who cry nobody will fill the job vacancies... those jobs got filled before the invasion, did they not?

There will need to be some adjustments made and some services (construction, landscaping, etc.) may cost a little more. But that's okay because the prices of these services have been held artificially low because the employers could hire illegals that will work off the books. Normalcy will eventually return.

...They’re exporting their race problem.

What Mexico exports is a working class that gets social services and income at someone else's expense (the USA.) Part of that income is sent back to Mexico to family and friends to the estimated amount of $10 billion. Mexico has no intension of reversing this...unless...

If the US government would charge Mexico about $2,000 a month per illegal invader immigrant, we would hear a great sucking sound south of the border.

I was shopping at some dept stores and it struck me how many of the shoppers were not SPEAKING ENGLISH! I thought to myself, “this is part of the reason we’re upset - we live in our own country but english isn’t even being spoken in public anymore!

Looks like Aizona is shaping up to be a policy petri dish. In the coming months pay close attention to the media. Hopefully we won't hear a peep out of them about Arizona's new laws. That'll mean it's working.

I would love to have the job of the guys who shine floors at my local Meijer at night. I’m one of those people who gets up at 5 to shop. They walk with headphones on. Pretty plush for 9.00 an hour.

I would take one of those in a heartbeat.
