The U.S. Transportation Department is using a new source to help determine potential airline protections: actual plane passengers.

Passengers have been invited to offer DOT officials protection suggestions by Jan. 22. They could help the federal agency determine what additional efforts should be taken to improve U.S. air travel, The Denver Post said Saturday.

I recommend a stout hickory stick in that magazine pocket on the back of every seat. No hijacker is going to make it through that gauntlet.

yeah, me too. Most ideas that would actually help security are politically incorrect. Now it is frustrating to see “random checks” which actually seem anything than random. Because of PC and the threat of lawsuits, it is far more likely that 95 year old white grandma from Ohio is selected for special check rather than 22 year old arab male.

Also, special attention to laptop while allowing any other electronic apparatus with wires attached to it being in a bag is ridiculous.

You must eat a piece of pork before being allowed to board.

Problem solved.

#1) Fire every elected official who opposes racial profiling.

#2) Implement racial profiling.

1) Bring in the Israelis to train your people.

2) Take all TSA employees into hospital wards where victims of bombs are patients, force them to look at pix of airplane crash victims, make it clear to them why they’re doing what they’re doing.

So now we are expected to TIP the TSA gropers and probers “for good service”? What, 20% of the ticket price for being felt up?

Does that mean no Orthodox Jews allowed on flights?

I'll gladly drink a beer, thanks.

You got it right! And being that pork is my favorite food, I might begin to put up with the airline/TSA bullsh*t again, once in awhile....

Okay. We'll exempt you if you are wearing orthodox clothing. Of course, be prepared to see some Vegans dressed the same way. ;-P

Maybe it's just me, but the title of the article really doesn't seem to match up with the content of the article. The article seems to be about the Department of Transportation (not the TSA, specifically) asking airline passengers for suggestions about what to do on a passenger bill of rights.

Nowhere in the article do I see security or one of its synonyms being used.
